Manager Review

Grand Welcome

Grand Welcome's guest rating of 4.71 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Don’t come here if you want a peaceful place to be able to sleep. You can hear every car on the road, especially at night, in the upstairs bedroom it’s impossible to sleep, you hear every car passing by. Also, for the price they are charging, how can you not have a smart TV in the house? There is an ancient TV, two remotes and no way to connect to any streaming service, even though it says you can in the listing.

Upon check in the code didn't work (& of course it was raining) Lock died midway through stay and was unable to get in. Very slow to respond upon reaching out. Waterlogged hot tub cover not functioning & too heavy to use. Accidentally left 3 plants in pots, they said they would leave them out for me and I drove all the way back to get them and they were not there. Hist lied about the plants and making me drive back to Tahoe for nothing. Terrible communication. Bad service. Gutter was hanging from the front of the house. House creeks and needs general maintenance. Gross bathtub grout You only get 1 towel per guest for a very long stay. Only good thing was the location and the walking paths. 20+ stairs to get into the 3 story unit, bedrooms on different level then the living space. . No air conditioning.

For what we paid, I was expecting more. The table where you were expected to eat, gave you chairs that were at least 24” below the table and we definitely could have used more soap. We had 3 tvs with no instructions on how to use them. We’re both over 70 and not so technically proficient. They could make the place a lot easier for seniors. As always, the pictures you get really didn’t represent reality. Next time we will go with a hotel

The water heater did not work for 3 days, so we could not take a shower for the 3 days. (We stayed there for 11 nights.)They did not provide maintenance immediately. They promised to refund 3 days amount, but only refund $50 days after checkout.

Although the place was absolutely gorgeous we will never stay in this condo again that is managed by Grand Welcome. Additional fees, like paying for parking and wristbands are listed in the things to know and not included with the price., costing an additional hundred dollars upon arrival. They also will charge if you ask to check in early and then they also have no idea about the unit. We asked to check in at 3:40 PM with the normal check-in being four and they responded at 4:51 PM telling me to wait until four to check in. They had absolutely no idea that it was past four and sent me a very generic message telling me to wait after check-in time. The management company was poor and awful /unresponsive so any place that is ran by them we will never stay. I also requested to speak with the owner or a manager, and they never called..

I didn’t stay!!! once I walked in, my husband and I left to a hotel. Pictures are deceiving it’s way smaller. Bed falling a part sheets are cheap ,old and ,dingy! walls were dirty all over. Balcony tiny ,it looks bigger in the picture. The hallways dark and dingy. I tried to explain to the owner that I needed to cancel because of how unhappy I was with the place, but they dismissed my request

We got a message right before checking in that wifi was out and would be out all week, so no tv either. We did get a $50 refund. The description says whole cabin but its 4 cabins in 1 so they share walls. Access to the cabin is through a large trailer park. The cabin sits back aways from the trailers. When we got there, after pulling into the driveway I found 10 rusty nails in the driveway. I contacted the host but was told it's not their problem and to call the HOA. There was hair and dirt on the kitchen sink, main floor bathroom sink and bathtub, and the upstairs bed. All of the lamps were on when we got there but not plugged into the correct outlet to work with the switch so I had to go around and find the switched outlets. The sliding glass door lock is broken. The only way to keep the door shut is putting a bar to keep it from sliding open. The hot water runs out quick. There is a Jacuzzi but not enough hot water to fill it.

It’s not a terrible place to stay but I’ve stayed at other locations in Myrtle beach that were way cleaner! This place was honestly very dirty and small. Smelt like mildew, floors were black from dirt, multiple stains on the linens, and couch cushions smelt like urine. I honestly wouldn’t stay here again. You can get more for your money elsewhere. It’s like they just came in, made the beds and called it a day. Plus multiple damages already done upon arrival as well as missing parking pass that we had to wait to receive before we could park and enjoy our day. Which put a hold on our vacation.

Management company responded but couldn't answer my questions accurately. I had asked for an inventory list of kitchen supplies so we would know what to bring. They said that someone would get it for us, but never did. Priced as a high end place but towels and linens were old and didn't match. We had to argue to get bedding for sofa bed. They would not give extra blankets and told us to use the heater but not everyone in the house was cold. Advertised a spa tub but the stopper didn't work so tub couldn't be used. BBQ didn't have cleaning tools, so we couldn't clean from the people before us, or clean up after ourselves. Kitchen didn't have hot mitts, but they did go buy some after we told them. I wouldn't use that management company for my home. When we were checking out, we were instructed to not only wash the dishes but also to put them away and strip the beds and start a load of wash with towels. I thought we paid a cleaning fee. That's a bit excessive to ask of vacationers.
