Grand Welcome in Truckee, California

“The place was quite beautiful and peaceful. It was very spacious for our family of 10. The location is deep into Truckee but I find it worth it for its price and we got to explore the area. However, two of the beds had broken frames on the bottom, causing the beds to sink in the center. It was not comfortable for the ones sleeping there and so they had to sleep on the couch. We've already let the host know and so they should hopefully get that fixed for the next guests. Overall, it was enjoyable and a good place for a weekend getaway!”

“Our stay was nice. The bedding and spaces were not equipped for summer weather. Beds had thick comforters and there was only 1 fan for a space that does not have A/C. Somethings could use updating but overall, it worked well for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids! Great location and great amenities.”

“Overall it was a nice spacious condo for the two of us. It was clean, not a lot of clutter and was comfortable. We went for a relaxing weekend out of the Texas heat. We would've like to enjoy the patio more, but while we were on the patio enjoying our morning coffee (first morning) the dog in the condo above us urinated and it came raining down to our patio. While I understand that is out of "managements" control, I feel like they could've done more than to tell us to pour water on it. I am also an Airbnb host and would've absolutely sent someone over to clean it. We also wanted to check in 2 hours early, but there is an additional fee for that even though there was no inconvenience to anyone. The condo had been empty for the previous 5 days. Other than that, we enjoyed our time there and would recommend! Be careful when on the patio!”

“The is a very large, lovely home. We enjoyed the well equipped kitchen, large dining and living areas and the gorgeous view from the back deck. We also appreciated that all bedrooms had bathrooms. The neighborhood is very nice and peaceful and there is plenty to do at North Star. This home is advertised as a luxury home and has a price tag to reflect that. Although the house itself was very nice, many of the furnishings did not feel like luxury level quality (thin towels, older bedding, hard sofa). Our biggest concern was the mattresses. All of us had a very hard time getting a good night's rest due to the quality of the mattresses. Most were VERY hard. A couple of them had foam topper but they were not of good quality and did not help much. We would not rent the home again due to this issue.”
