Grand Welcome in Alpine Meadows, California

“We had a great stay and this was a great place. All of the amenities were there, and each bedroom was very cozy and comfortable. The location is great for Alpine Meadows skiing access, and the neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. The hosts were also very responsive, with most replies returned within 10min. FYI--Other reviewers commented on the Hot Water going out and Driveway being slippery, so we factored this into our expectations. I will say that the hot water is fine so long as you're only attempting one shower at a time and not using the 2nd or 3rd showers simultaneously. Once we figured this out, hot water wasn't an issue. Regarding the driveway, we were there during over 10ft of snow, and the hosts had already cleared the driveway ahead of time (thank you!). Of course there was still lingering ice though, and I was expecting our car to slide. It actually wasn't an issue at all, and I personally didn't find the driveway all that steep. This was a non-issue for us. Great find”

“Place is amazing! The only downside is the hot water runs out very quickly and you have to wait 45 minutes before showers. Otherwise, everything was great!”

“Great place only a few minutes from Alpine. Kids loved sledding on the hill behind the house. Inside cabin perfectly clean. Heater was easy to use, heated pretty evenly for an A-frame, and wasn't too loud. I did wish there was wood available for the wood stove in the dining room though. Two king-size bedrooms was a huge plus. As another reviewer noted there are large piles of animal feces all over outside, including a huge pile in the driveway we had to carefully avoid while unloading. I'm not sure if it was a neighbor's huge dog or a bear, but if there is something to be done about it please do so for the next guests.”
