Manager Review

Village Realty

Village Realty's guest rating of 4.53 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

First, let me start with the good: The pool is salt water, huge, and amazing. It's bigger than many hotel pools. Incredible. The backyard is incredible. Great place to relax. The downstairs area off the pool is fantastic. The house is laid out in a way that makes it feel much larger than it is. There's plenty of room. The house is very nice. Lots of wood. High ceilings. Natural light. Balconies. Great property. The issues are all with management & maintenance. Not very well cleaned. Old popcorn from prior guests all over the place, in furniture, etc. Random and significant broken things. Like a toilet seat completely broken off. Just sitting there. Overflowing trashcan sitting out front of the house (from prior guest) that smelled terrible and attracted tons of flies. I saw 2 or 3 dead roaches throughout the week. Cheap management. Like: 1 tab of dishwashing detergent. Charge $10 more and stock stuff like that. Great property. Not the cleanest or best maintained.

House was as described. Lots of room, aside from having to wash the blankets that clearly were not clean and the excessive clutter in the cabinets it was an enjoyable stay.

The sunrise view was awesome. The commute to the beach was convenient. Details say you can’t use the access to the beach from the house. As all the other people used our property to access the beach we did so. The walk isn’t bad at all. No one maintains it so there are briars. The house was dirty and smelled as if it was covered up by “fabluso”. The size was great. We did not like the children’s room being down stairs by the front door so we brought the mattress upstairs with us. The balcony door did not shut proper that is a safety hazard. There was only one extra trash bag for a 4 day stay with a family of 7. One roll of toilet tissue. As well as only 1 dish washer pod. The entire home shakes (bad) when some walks from the bedroom to the kitchen. You can visibly see it when sitting on the porch. Almost makes you motion sickness at night. There was no hair dryer or blow dryer. ALL OF THE UNTILY CLOSETS WERE UNLOCKED AND OPEN. I was not satisifed with the cleanliness of the home.

The beds were dirty on arrival. Items were left behind from previous people. Did not have towels, starter items, etc. After numerous calls and waiting 4 hours we had towels and starter kit. Don’t plan to use the closets as they are all full of misc items like decor, furniture, paint, etc. No hangers. The dryer does not work properly. Messaged them on Wednesday about it. Never received any message back. A tech came out on Sunday (night before our departure). Said it needed more than they could do. I will never use this business again. Location is beautiful and the community people are so friendly.

Top things that we can complain about: insufficient cutlery, unclean kitchen equipment, clogged sink, broken dishwasher, lack of response to my message. On the other hand, we enjoyed the pool area, game area and the location of the house. Beds were really comfortable. As a summary, the house need to be better prepared and cleaned for the amount of money requested.

When we arrived beds were not made, no sheets available, sheets didn’t arrive until 10:30 at night after I had to go buy linens. Dead bugs throughout house. Rats in grills. Leaks in ceilings, missing siding, light fixtures falling apart, dryer hose not connected, lint trap broken, missing light bulbs, wobbly 3rd floor deck, broken shower doors on first floor. A/C doesn’t work throughout the house.. I called and texted in the app and got no response.

The house itself was nice, and the pool was great as well. Overall, the property was clean, comfortable, and had the potential to be a place we would return to in the future. That said, there were a few disappointments. Before our stay, my dog unexpectedly passed away, and although I spoke directly with someone who told me they would note the account regarding the pet fee, the fee was still not refunded. I completely understand that this is a business, but a little humanity and flexibility in that situation would have gone a long way, especially for someone who likely would have been a repeat customer and left glowing reviews. There were also a few convenience issues during the stay. Basic supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags were very limited, and beach towels were not provided. Additionally, the WiFi went out multiple times during our stay. Property itself is beautiful, but the customer service experience and lack of some essentials left us with mixed feelings

The house was beautiful, however the property manager or the company that this owner went through was extremely unprofessional was not courteous and provided false information when I asked to confirm before booking I was told yes the pool would be heated when in fact, I found out from the owner the pool heater was broken. I was misled, and then when I told them that the AC was broken, my reservation was canceled and the cops were called to remove me and my family from the premises.

Supposed to be pet free but there was pet hair causing allergies to flare up. Needs a deep cleaning: very dirty under the beds (a receipt from 2022 was under the bed along with other items) and furniture & sofa pillows were dusty. Needs some maintenance also. Won’t be going back.

The company responded by telling me that the home was handicap assessable with a room and bathroom on the first floor and elevator. I was told that the property was waterfront view and that the jacuzzi was available year round . Upon arrival I noticed that there were a large amount of stairs to the entrance, I walked around the back of home assuming there was a flat entrance to get into the home and there was not , myself and mother had to physically lift my father (whom has walking difficulties) up 5 steps to get into the home to access it . After getting him inside I walked around the home and noticed that in the main living room there were 2 blinds that were completely broken , the fire place which is a offered amenity was inoperable and the carpet and couch were visibly stained and had pet hair on them. I went to use the jacuzzi the next day and the water was a bright green color and had a HORRIBLE ODOR ! . This by far was the worst stay for me using air bnb . I would not recommend
