“This is an ideal place to stay when visiting Duck. Short walk to the beach (the best reason to visit Duck), location right in the heart of downtown and walkable to Biergartens, restaurants, shops, coffee, bookstore, etc. We parked the car the day we arrived and didn’t get in it again until we left. That’s rare in the South, especially in the OBX where everything is so spread out. The house was great. Everything was clean, new, well maintained. The pool was crucial with kids and everything outside was well-maintained. This place was perfect for our family of four - would HIGHLY recommend.”

“First, let me start with the good: The pool is salt water, huge, and amazing. It's bigger than many hotel pools. Incredible. The backyard is incredible. Great place to relax. The downstairs area off the pool is fantastic. The house is laid out in a way that makes it feel much larger than it is. There's plenty of room. The house is very nice. Lots of wood. High ceilings. Natural light. Balconies. Great property. The issues are all with management & maintenance. Not very well cleaned. Old popcorn from prior guests all over the place, in furniture, etc. Random and significant broken things. Like a toilet seat completely broken off. Just sitting there. Overflowing trashcan sitting out front of the house (from prior guest) that smelled terrible and attracted tons of flies. I saw 2 or 3 dead roaches throughout the week. Cheap management. Like: 1 tab of dishwashing detergent. Charge $10 more and stock stuff like that. Great property. Not the cleanest or best maintained.”

“Beautiful home with a perfect location! We were able to hear the ocean at night and see it from our top balcony. The home is also beautiful and stocked with anything you’d need to make the house feel like home. I only had one complaint, which was that the floors were not the cleanest. Anyone who was wearing white socks very quickly had gray/black stains on the bottom and when we realized it, everyone switched to socks and/or slippers. I know it’s hard to control that since some guests wear shoes in the house but being from a no shoes in the house household, we were a little thrown off by that. We attempted to vacuum, but it still didn’t help much since we didn’t have a mop and there was probably a lot of buildup from past guests. Other than that one was thing, this house was wonderful and we would definitely still suggest it to anyone interested in visiting Duck!”

“Nice townhouse with few amenities. It would have been helpful to have house instructions printed. Definitely bring your own beach items. Overall, it was a good stay.”
