Seaside Vacations

Seaside Vacations's guest rating of 4.52 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

The unit and location were great; pictures & description were accurate. Messages came from multiple sources, emails from Airbnb, emails from Seaside and text messages from Seaside. This should be more streamlined, it made it difficult to find important information easily (including which unit we were in). Things regarding the pool entrance, parking pass, beach access & pickle ball locations/entrance code were equally as difficult. We had to ask the neighbors; I called Seaside & never got information back regarding the pool or parking pass and it was four days later for the passcode. A simple instruction list would be easy to make and very helpful for guests. Our coffee pot was broke and they were very quick to replace it which was great. The Internet went out; it took over 24 hours for a technician to come. The kitchen was not as 'well stocked' as many units we have rented & the cabinets & stove were dated. Many outlets & one burner did not work. The upstairs bathroom had some mold.

Great location! Home is ok for a budget. It’s very dark inside and has very minimal pots and pans no streaming services and very minimal supplies so be aware you will be spending extra to get toiletries like toilet paper paper towels toilet cleaner dish soap dishwasher pods and mop pads as your expected to do all the cleaning before you leave and buy the supplies! Also any seasonings you may need if your going to cook. Even buy your own knives because there’s no sharp knives or sharpeners.

The place was amazing and plenty big enough for our family of 8. The check in process was a little difficult. I wasn’t texted the check in instructions, we got there late and didn’t know where to go or how to get in. I had to call cx service. They said I was supposed to have been sent the instructions in a text and I wasn’t so they sent it. I had to go somewhere else to get my welcome packet. She didn’t describe what I was looking for well and I had to call back because the building was closed/locked. But once I finally got the welcome packet and instructions the rest was wonderful. The condo was spacious, clean, adorable, and had plenty of convenient things there we needed to cook with etc.

Great location and an easy walk to the beach, which made it convenient to go back and forth between the house and beach throughout the day. The pool and hot tub were a lot of fun for our group, and the wraparound porch with ocean views was one of our favorite spots, especially in the mornings. We also appreciated the beach gear rental credit, which helped us avoid bringing extra equipment on our trip. A few things could be improved. We specifically booked this property because it advertised a volleyball court, but the net was unusable when we arrived and we were informed it would not be repaired during our stay. That was disappointing given how far in advance we booked. The Wi-Fi was also unreliable, despite the area generally having decent internet service based on our previous stays in the Outer Banks. There were a few maintenance items that could use attention as well, including exposed nails on the back porch stairs and issues with the living room TV's picture and audio quality.

Nice place to stay! The rooms were clean, it was pet friendly and in a nice neighborhood where I could walk my dogs safely. The only downside was there was no soap of any kind provided (not only shampoo but no hand soaps or dish soaps to wash dishes in the sink). There were only a minimal number of towels provided (one per person) and we had to go buy more paper towels and trash bags ourselves.

The pool and pool area were dirty upon arrival, cigarette butts on concrete around pool, trash in outside shower and a chair covered in dirt. The outside covered area upstairs had not been wiped down and was covered in dirt. There was a fishing bait with a hook on the ground underneath the cottage. The kitchen counter had not been whiped down and had a sticky residue. The floors were dirty, and walking barefoot resulted in black feet. The ac filter was noticably dirty. Clothes had been left in a drawer from a previous guest.

Upon arrival, there were no bed sheets on any of the beds. We arrived at 10pm after a long drive. When they came with sheets at 12.30 am, we had to make the beds and the pillows all had stains. Not a great way to start the trip. The bedrooms need a lot of updating. Kitchen had everything you need. Location is great.

Beautiful home in a great location. 1 block away from walk-in beach access. lots of restaurants near by. House was clean overall, although slightly dusty. we rewashed some plates and living room blankets upon arrival. House was stocked for a beach day with beach chairs, umbrella and wagon as well as a Fully stocked kitchen. make sure to bring your own handsoap!! its not provided even though listed. there seemed to be a lack of preparation for our arrival, as there were absolutely no sheets on the beds or towels. we had a late arrival and still waited another hour and a half for them to arrive. With all the expectations & conditions to be met prior to booking there were some basic things lacking.

We love the Buxton area even thou its under a lot of cleanup and construction. We’ve stayed several times in the same area and even this townhouse before. But seaside vacations has fell well below par with how they keep up homes, clean homes, respond to guest after they are in home and act like they want to make things right without taking any action to do so. When we are told the home is ready hours before arrival and upon arrival we have no water, no hvac, no hot water, there’s pee and toilet paper in toilets not flushed due to no water at all, then that’s a problem. Have to wait on maintenance to be able to even start our vacation. Seaside was 2 days responding to all the issues after the maintenance guy left. I’ve given seaside ample amount of time to make things right and they’ve been mia for a week. So our minds are made up that we will stay in same area but not with seaside vacations any longer.

Location, location, location! It was a perfect spot - walking distance to the beach and lots of things to do around. The house itself was very spacious and nice set up. Cookware, dish ware and silverware are provided. Other than that, please bring any and all other essentials. We didn’t have toilet paper, dish soap, napkins, dishwasher pods, no coffee, no filters for coffee machine, no salt or pepper or any other spices. You also have to pay extra and request the beds to be made.
