“Absolutely lovely area and the house is nice. I cannot recommend this enough except for the one issue I do have. The only real issue I had was trying to sleep on those beds. The beds in this house are atrociously bad. The type of mattress you stay up late to avoid. The type of mattress you wake up on and run to the couch for comfort. Not one bed in this house is remotely comfortable. The beds aside, this is a dream vacation spot. The house is nice. The location is perfect. The only thing keeping me from rebooking again for next year is the beds. I would rebook immediately if I knew there would be better mattresses. As amazing as the place is I do still need decent sleep in order to enjoy everything fully.”

“Overall, a great visit to Duck, NC! Pros: 1) Great location. Super close to the beach and two miles from shops/restaurants. 2) Efficient washer and dryer. 3) Dog-friendly area. 4) Loved that I could book four nights and not a whole week. Solid space for a family of four. Cons/Tips: 1) Coffee-lovers: It is a classic drip coffee maker so make sure to bring filters as I did not. 2) Mattresses are just okay, squeaky. I highly recommend bringing cozy throw blankets of your own as the ones provided are not in the best shape. 3) There are a few odds and ends that could be fixed such as the dryer door not staying open and the lightbulb in the fridge needs to be replaced. “This was the worst airbnb experience I have ever had. We arrived with 3 kids late at night and the keypad didn't work. It took over 30 mins for the emergency on call person to respond. He wasn't able to fix the problem and offered to drive out but wouldn't be able to arrive for an hour (1:30 AM). We decided to stay in a hotel and couldn't access the property until the next morning. The host refused to refund the first night and we had to go through airbnb to do it. The place itself was clean, and right in the middle of town and very walkable. This said it did not come with anything to make it more comfortable. There were not enough towels, no soap/dish soap/hair dryer, etc. If you are staying here, be prepared to bring everything with you. If you want them to make the beds, you have to pay extra. For what you pay for this place, it really isn't worth it and I would not stay there again.”

“Stayed with my family and my granddog for 3-night 4-day trip. The property was very comfortable to stay for all of us, overlooking the beautiful view on the sound. I especially loved the separate washrooms for bedroom 2 and 3 connecting to the common bathroom. Conveniently situated to access to the Kitty Hawk and surrounding restaurants. If you bring your dog, bring the dog shoes for sandpits and heat on the ground in summer. Our dog had a great time there (with shoes). Great property for family vacation.”
