“While this is a nice house in a fantastic location, the running of the place needs work. 1. While it appeared fairly clean when we first got there, time showed it was just a surface clean. There was a good deal of pet hair, and they clearly never move furniture to vacuum (edges of table legs full of white pet hair, and cherios under the edges of couches). 2. There was an “out of order” sign on the dishwasher, and when I contacted the company about it they were somehow unaware (confused who left the sign then). They never rectified the situation. We also made them aware of a lot of ants coming in the bathroom, and they said they’d send traps but never did. 3. The items in the kitchen were an odd smattering and most not clean 4. The mattresses were absolutely terrible, we all had headaches and/or aching backs 5. They’re very stingy on what they leave you - you have to bring your own tp, hand soap, trash bags, etc. 6. Lots of little broken things, like nails up on the stairs”

“The location is beautiful but the house has been very poorly maintained. There were pet and human hairs (a couple looked like pubic hairs) on more than one “clean” bed. There was a terrible stain on one of the curtains. Looked like someone had peed on it. There was what appeared to be blood on one of the night stands. The ottoman in the living room was worn out approximately 5 years ago but was covered by a blanket so it wasn’t immediately apparent. The ac filters were completely clogged. Hadn’t been changed in well over 6 months. Several of the chairs by the pool were broken. One of the chairs on the upper deck was broken. I almost fell over when I sat down in it. There’s a terrible stain in the bottom of the pool. Didn’t affect use but ugly. Instructions that ac isn’t to be turned below 72 or it would freeze. Should have been disclosed up front. I should have received a minimum of a 50% refund but was given the equivalent of less than one night. NEVER AGAIN!”

“It was very disappointing to pay such a high price for a vacation home and then find it dusty, trash left by pool, and unknown brown smears on the furniture. I found it unacceptable that we reported a major leak in one of the bathrooms and although a representative came out to look at it, the leak was never fixed. That left us without a bathroom for the duration of our vacation. At a minimum, even if the leak could not be fixed at that time, it would have been courteous if we were contacted with an explanation.”

“This place is kind of a hot mess. It started off with us being notified 30 minutes before the 5:00 check-in time that the cleaners were just then getting there. But we ended up being stuck in traffic right there on the island for over an hour so thankfully it didn't end up delaying us further. There were excessive welcome emails saying generally the same things, but it felt kind of spammy. We did know from the emails that there was very little included. There ended up not being any toilet paper or trash bags that we had been told would be provided to start. * Please note* hand soap for the bathrooms is not even provided with this house. The house was dirty- there were cigar butts and cigarette butts outside at the pool and on the porches. The furniture is cheap and uncomfortable, including the beds and pillows. These things were mentioned to the management company and they pretty much just said thank you for letting us know. I would consider staying here again if it was half price.”

“Great location next to the pool and walkable to beach. Unfortunately the house was dirty and we had problems with 4 amenities without any help to fix them. (No WiFi, no living room tv, dirty hot tub that didn’t work, and missing pool passes for a few days of our stay)”
