“We had a wonderful time. The 7 kids had a ball on the beach. There was plenty of room in the house to play with each other. All the bedrooms were so clean.”

“The house was beautiful and clean. The old touches from the owner can be seen throughout. He/she has little handwritten notes in different places. I just wish this house was not managed by a company. I’m sure the owner would be sad to know the company that manages his house isn’t too good at communication. I had asked before booking the house if the pool & tennis court came with the house. They said yes. Once we arrived we were told no. I sent screenshots of their reply. They took almost a day to reply and that’s because I followed up after not hearing from them. In the end they gave me compensation but sent it with no follow up message. It just seemed all distasteful and with no customer service in mind. I liked it more when Airbnb was mostly ran by the owner’s of the house. I also think that things like beach chairs, sand toys etc should come with the house. At least that’s been my experience. Instead they send you a “credit” and then swindle you with having to pay a delivery fee.”

“The house was perfect for our family, very spacious. The pool and hot tub were both great. The community offers access by bike, or golf cart to the sound for fishing, which was very enjoyable for our whole family. The staff with the rental company was very responsive and helpful. Fresh sealed linens were provided at check in. Great memories were made for our family here.”

“Cute house located conveniently to Food Lion, Conner’s grocery and across Hwy 12 for beach access. Pool closes too early in my opinion but very clean. Pickle ball courts a plus! Very friendly workers at the pool and lovely neighbors. I was a little disappointed in the lack of blankets available in the home. I called Seaside vacations and they delivered some immediately. I do not consider a coverlet to set the bed a “blanket” as they rarely if ever get washed. I was also surprised to find that the linens were just thrown in the bedrooms and none of the beds were set up. I expected to not have any extras such as salt and pepper, however it would have been appreciated! Only one hairdryer in the home, for 2 bathrooms No grill to cook on. There was some sort of electric grill but it was very tiny. I appreciated the icemaker, and the plastic storage containers! Bring all your beach chairs, beach towels, blankets, spices etc. Great location, little extra touches, would be Spectacular!”

“Our typical stay in Cape Hatteras is four months out of every year - two months in spring and two months in fall. We are blessed to have found a property in Frisco, thanks to Airbnb, where we've been staying exclusively since 2021. I am a remote worker, and we live on the road full time. This spring, due to an extended job search, we decided to break up the visit, save some money, and booked the initial two weeks at a local campground. To my surprise, I landed a new contract right as we were coming onto the island, and then had to scramble to find a rental so that I'd be starting a new job on the right foot. With very little notice, we were able to secure this property, and it was everything we needed. Full kitchen. Solid Wi-Fi. Lots of room. We'd never stayed outside of Frisco, or on the sound, but found Avon to be very nice. In a pinch, we went with Airbnb to book, and they definitely take their cut. Next year, I'll book directly with Seaside Vacations. The team in Buxton is awesome!”
