Leavetown Vacations

Leavetown Vacations's guest rating of 4.57 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Booking no indication of a deposit of $200 when booked. The room description was accurate, but the smell and actual seeing it was outdated. The bed was hard to where springs were felt. A dirty hand towel was left behind from previous occupants. In the master bathroom was a feces residue near towel paper roll. It was such outdated and smell of oldness my five year said “let’s go home”.

Hidden check in fee, a lack of compassion or customer service in addressing the matter. It’s difficult to argue said fee when you are miles from home and standing at check in.

Was disappointed that I was not made aware of walkways not being available or other amenities not being available when I booked the room 6 days before stay. Was alerted 2 days before. Security constantly make you prove you are here-frustration in a trip when you’re trying to relax, and makes me question the security of the place if security always makes you prove who you are. The room was nice, and the place is in a good location.

All staff were very friendly. That was a huge plus but unfortunately we saw 2 site of roaches in the kitch and the water from all faucets was very cloudy. We were hesitate to shower. Location was accommodating for the festival, eats and fun nearby.

Great value. Was disappointed in cleanliness and maintenence of the property. The pools were horrible and dried out my childrens skin to the point it cracked. I ran over a nail in the parking lot with my car tire and a screw with my stroller tire. It was just not a good property.

We arrived after hours and the security guard was kind of rude, didn’t give us good instructions to find the place and was annoyed when we called for help. after we found the place it was great! it was definitely more updated than the pictures and very nice! the only problem we had was the one bathroom was a little dirty. but our overall experience was great, a great location, great beach, a lot of good amenities. we went on the off season and there was still so much to do!!! will definitely stay again!

From the moment we walked in, the unit had a strong, unpleasant odor and felt extremely stuffy. Dust covered the vents, the floors were visibly dirty, and the front door didn’t seal properly, there was a noticeable gap even when locked. Dead bugs were at the entrance, and the entire space felt stale. The furniture was outdated, stained, and smelled, with one chair having a urine odor. The master bathroom looked nothing like the photos advertised. When I raised this with the host, I was dismissed and told photos may not match units, which felt misleading especially since none matched unit 424. It felt deceptive. There was hair throughout the shower, drains, and floors, and the toilet wasn’t properly cleaned. A cleaner even admitted it hadn’t been recently serviced. Overall, it felt unclean and uncomfortable. I would not recommend staying here.

If you’re going to charge these prices the unit has to be up to standards.

Our total through Airbnb was about $300 for one night. When we got to check in they charged us a hidden fee of $155.80. I reported this immediately to Airbnb and was then called by the front desk to inform me that the hidden fee was being refunded- apparently there was a “glitch” because we used a third party app to book. Then a few days later I was charged $154.80. When I called about getting a refund for the second time, it was the same excuse of booking the through a third party. It seemed like they weren’t expecting me to actually check the charges and something shady was going on. The actual unit was clean and had the amenities listed, check-in is at a different location from the condo itself which was confusing. If you’re going to book this, go through their website to avoid any skimming off the top….
