“Our total through Airbnb was about $300 for one night. When we got to check in they charged us a hidden fee of $155.80. I reported this immediately to Airbnb and was then called by the front desk to inform me that the hidden fee was being refunded- apparently there was a “glitch” because we used a third party app to book. Then a few days later I was charged $154.80. When I called about getting a refund for the second time, it was the same excuse of booking the through a third party. It seemed like they weren’t expecting me to actually check the charges and something shady was going on. The actual unit was clean and had the amenities listed, check-in is at a different location from the condo itself which was confusing. If you’re going to book this, go through their website to avoid any skimming off the top….”

“I have never done this and hurts me a little to do… but this rental was terribly misrepresented in the images. The unit we stayed in looked nothing like the pictures. It was still a lovely place to stay and we tend to be pretty low maintenance, but the difference was a bit shocking. Secondly, we had issues with check-in. We went to two different places to check-in and then were sent in the wrong direction to the wrong building with the wrong keys. After a long day of traveling this was very upsetting. We had also asked in advance if the unit would have a pull-out couch and were told starkly that it would not- it then ended up having one. The unit and the location ended up being fine but the images were a gross misrepresentation of the real unit we stayed in.”
