“We absolutely loved A Place at the Beach III! The beach access, pool, water slide, and other amenities were amazing, and the resort itself was perfect for a family vacation. Unfortunately, Unit 223, managed by Leavetown Vacations and rented through Airbnb, was awful. The unit was extremely outdated, with peeling wallpaper, and a strong odor that smelled like stinky feet. We also found a bloodstain on a spare pillow, and the balcony door did not have a working lock, which was a major safety concern. Worst of all, there were roaches in the unit. The bathtub in the bedroom would not drain properly. Since we were only staying for three nights, calling and waiting for maintenance felt like more of a hassle, so we unfortunately just dealt with it during our stay. We would definitely recommend the resort itself and would love to return, but we would not stay in Unit 223 or book through Leavetown Vacations again. Next time, we will book a unit directly through a private owner.”

“The late check in time with a small 2 hour window between 4-6 made it difficult traveling 5 hours away with a baby. The early check out time also made it difficult and we felt very rushed to get everything together for the travel back home. Paid for five days and it truly felt like we only really spent 3 days at the beach because of it. Asked for a later check out time, willing to pay extra for accommodation, but was denied.”
