“Resort Realty caused us a lot of stress before we even arrived. It started with a very long list of things they do not provide — unusual compared to other Airbnbs we’ve stayed in. Then, the day before arrival, they repeatedly texted us that severe weather was expected and offered early check-in for an extra $100; otherwise, check-in was only at 6:00 PM. I found this stressful, especially since most Airbnbs are much more flexible or at least allow luggage storage. When we arrived, the house itself was very nice and had most essentials. However, there was no coffee or tea, and what looked like salt and pepper turned out to be decorative only, causing another grocery trip. Even basics like toilet paper felt rationed. The house itself is great, but the overall experience felt unnecessarily stressful and unwelcoming.”

“This rental was great. Location, hot tub, good interior vibes. Cost was reasonable. The management was responsive . Only issue was we were not told until 2 weeks prior to trip that basic amenities like soap, toilet paper, etc were not provided or only as a starter kit.”

“The house was really nice and close to the beach. Nice little tucked away neighborhood. Unfortunately, we had a bit of a problem at check in. After checking the place out we noticed a smell coming from the outside shower, when we opened the door someone had defecated on the bench of the shower and left the mess! You have to pay a lot of money for the cleaning service of a rental and end up with this! On top of that, when I called to let them know about the situation they asked if I could just spray it with a water hose to clean it up temporarily. No. They also never cut the hot tub on so when we went in that evening for a dip the water was at 68 degrees. Other than the first night at this house with all the mishaps we did enjoy the rest of our stay.”

“Ginny Anne was a good value, and an affordable gem amongst typical outer banks overpriced mega-homes. the house is comfortable and spacious and has many amenities, like a smart TV and fast wifi. it's in a great location. Overall, it has more good than bad, so I recommend it. However, there is no dedicated workspace. Bar stools and an outdoor coffee table are not a workspace. If anyone is planning on working remote from this house, don't expect to have a comfortable or practical workspace Second, the company hosting this place needs to tone down the 'early check-in' nonsense. there is a fee - a penalty - for early check in. offering me a 50$ discount on a penalty for 5 extra hours of time is just nuts. if you really want me to consider checking in early, I suggest calling it something other than a fee. Finally, the house has a stale cigarrete, musty, humid smell, like an old hotel room. some sheets were very threadbare and stained, and the mattress covers had yellow stains on them.”

“This house was perfect for our sisters’ trip. The pool, hot tub and outdoor spaces were awesome. There was plenty of space for us. We enjoyed the delicious restaurants nearby. The only thing that bothered us was the listing clearly stated a 4:00 check in time when we booked in September. However it was changed to 6:00. My sisters noticed this as well. Then the day before our arrival we were told for an additional fee we could get an earlier check in time which we did pay. The house was great, though. The kitchen and living room were very spacious. It was a great choice!”

“l'entrée au logement aurait pu être plus simple si il déciderait de laisser les clés dans le cadenas sécurisé déjà sur place. Au lieu ils nous demandent de revenir au bureau qui est dans le village avant pour aller chercher les clés. Ça pourrait être plus simple.”

“we liked the space and the many rooms, we were disappointed we had to buy so many things to use in the house, all the chairs outside were dirty, there was mold all over the deck and some of the windows, nails on the deck stuck out and you always had to have shoes on, and lose boards, the grill was very dirty, we rented the house to be convenient but we ended up needing to get alot, the carpets were dirty and had a smell, we had to buy a propane tank for the grill it was empty, I was disappointed as I have done this before and did not have these issues, we liked the price but would have paid more if it had offered us more.”

“The worst place I’ve ever rented on Airbnb in 10 years of using them. Literally returned the keys 30 minutes after check in. We got a hotel elsewhere and did not ruin our vacation at this pig sty. Host was unresponsive even though their office was a 2 minute drive up the road from property. Guest book in home had dozens of terrible stays due to cleanliness, smell, deferred maintenance. Management company should be reported to better business bureau. Absolutely terrible experience. Thankful we left immeduately”

“Overall it was OK. The location was near grocery stores and access to the beach. The grill area and pool was great for entertaining, and the hot tub was great. I was disappointed on things that didn't work as expected, notably the pool heater which did not function below 55 degrees air temperature. It was obvious that we wanted the pool heater due to the forecasted cooler temperatures, but the host failed to inform us that it would not work at the expected temperatures, and offered no refund after. I feel duped since we paid for the service to heat the pool, but the pool stayed cold for the kids. I was also disappointed in the arcade games that did not function. A work order was issued according to their maintenance team, but after 6 days they remained non-functional. The TV's also did not work when we arrived, but was resolved quickly by their tech sent out the next day. Overall, its a solid 3-Start / Grade: C+. I will look for a different property on my next trip to OBX.”

“The house is nothing like the pics. You walk in to the worst old house mildew smell. The bedroom were dated the fixtures were literally the 80’s the rust in the vents. The floors were very old as well as the bathrooms! The fridge was literally from the late 80’s-90’s the tech told us! The stove was so pushed in a corner it was hard to cook. The fridge was out from the day we arrived and we had to throw food away. They brought a cooler and a mini fridge. Called and messaged them and they sent someone who said the owner had to make the choice to replace it or fix it and from what I understand he wanted to replace the part. The heat downstairs was not working and we came during the cold month of March that night it was 30 degrees my kids were freezing! Upstairs on the 3rd floor you had to turn the cold to get it hot it was weird. The blinds were broken, some of the rooms were too cluttered. The stairs well prepare to walk quite a few it’s 3 stories they took the elevator out. We left”
