“Beautiful place, however, the dock area and chairs were covered in cobwebs and seemed like it hasn’t been used or cleaned in awhile.”

“The place and location itself was great. Right on the lake, with a beautiful view. Location was really nice too. We left a just ok review because of the property managment. Check in was at 4 at 4:15 we got a call the cleaners weren’t finished, after half our group had already arrived. We were told we could wait outside but that it would be another 30-45 mins. Annoying but things happen. The overall cleanliness was well below par. Found trash under the couch. Water bottles stuffed in couch cusions. Trash under master bed. Overall cleanless was real bad. The water also turned all the towels we used and some of our white laundry a rust colored red. We had two of our beach towels stained doing laundry.”

“Harmony Hills is a beautiful property! We stayed 3 nights and we didn't have time to do everything the property offered (bon fire by the pond, exploring the woods...). Not pictured/mentioned in the listing is a hot tub and basement with extra TV! Wonderful stay. The only negative was a broken spring in the king mattress - mentioned in a previous review from Nov 2025. Disappointing that this wasn't remedied in the months since.”

“The property was beautiful. The home was amazing and very clean. The pros are incredibly clean house with great bathrooms. The cons are these. The photos of the home from the drone make it appear as if it’s very isolated. This is really not true. The neighbors are very close, especially down at the docks. They’re right on top of you. There’s also a very active railway about 20 yards away from the property. The train runs three times a day and there’s no fences or anything to keep children from wandering across the track so would be important to mention it in the description. I own several Airbnb‘s, I know it’s difficult to meet everyone’s expectations. But I will tell you that I do provide the basics for people in abundance. Having one roll of paper towels for an entire week is ridiculous. Having three trash bags for an entire week is ridiculous. Why not just buy a box of trash bags and two or three rolls of paper towel towels. Doesn’t make sense to have to go out and buy a six pack of”

“The house was well kept and exactly as pictured. The dock was unsafe for use and not described or pictured that way at all. Dock had caution tape around it”

“I have never written a poor review on Airbnb before but want to warn anyone thinking of staying here to reconsider. This home was filthy, dead bugs and live bugs throughout. The lakefront was filthy and we had to spend hour of our vacation time cleaning the chairs and space on the dock to sit. The porches were dusty and had awful smells so we could not use them. We bought food to grill and when we opened it, it was disgustingly dirty and did not even work. That’s when we reached out to the management company and they were defensive and even lied to us. They said the grill had been checked and cleaned prior to our stay so I had to send them pictures as proof. The offered to have someone come the next day but it had already ruined our holiday dinner plans. They also lied and said they offered to send a cleaning team to address the filth but they did not. Very disappointing experience and response by the property manager on top of it. Lastly, the kitchen didn’t have any basics like salt.”

“Beautiful location and pretty private location. Downstairs living areas were great. We were disappointed to find that none of the top bunk beds were made. Management company confirmed that they never make them and if guests choose to use them they have to make them. We've rented houses all over and this is the first time we've had to make our own beds. Grill grates need to be replaced - they were too rusty to cook on.”

“It’s a beautiful house, but you can feel the corporate-ness: little details show that no one is maintaining the place with care. We stayed five nights and felt that 1 roll of paper towel, 2 dish pods, and 1 laundry pod was stingy, especially given what we paid. The hot tub surfaces were slimy upon first use and needed cleaning. There were no beach towels for the hot tub. One strange thing: the bedroom in the loft area has an open “window” to the common area, so you can hear everything if other people are moving about. There were things we liked too: the kitchen had everything we needed, the proximity to the lake, the grill, the deck, the outside dining table, the living room, the backyard. But I’m not sure I could justify paying this much for a place with so many little inconveniences.”

“The house and the property were beautiful and secluded. Our family of 10 had a wonderful time together. A few negatives that we experienced were that the two couches a previous renter identified as broken were still broken, the beds only had fitted sheets and no sheets to cover with, our dryer didn’t work on our third day so we contacted the host and a repairman came out the next day but we didn’t have power for 12 hours that day so he couldn’t look at it. No one came back after that day. In the next day the main drive was blocked for 4+ hours for a road work so we couldn’t come or go from the property. If it weren’t for the neighbor telling us we wouldn’t have known. There were no cleaning supplies that we could locate. The back outside decks were very very dirty. The dock had a large 2x4 wth nails sticking out. All in all the property was beautiful but we wouldn’t rebook this location because of the things noted.”

“House was well maintained but dated. The location was excellent. Clean waterfront with easy access to swim in the lake. Only down side was the owner showing up on 2 consecutive days of a 3 day stay, unannounced, to do random tasks that certainly could have waited until after we checked out. Easily a 5 star experience without the owners hovering/interruptions.”
