“House was well maintained but dated. The location was excellent. Clean waterfront with easy access to swim in the lake. Only down side was the owner showing up on 2 consecutive days of a 3 day stay, unannounced, to do random tasks that certainly could have waited until after we checked out. Easily a 5 star experience without the owners hovering/interruptions.”

“The Airbnb and property are absolutely beautiful. We were very pleasantly surprised by how clean the home was upon arrival. The fact that all of the towels were individually wrapped in plastic made it clear that extra attention had been given to cleanliness and guest preparation. One thing I wish had been communicated more clearly before booking was the lack of basic household supplies. We were not aware that we would need to purchase items such as trash bags, coffee filters, zip-top bags, and aluminum foil. Guests should also plan to bring their own shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, as these were not provided. Additionally, only two dishwasher pods were supplied, which was not quite enough for our group of nine and the number of loads we needed to run during our stay. I also wish the check-in and check-out policies were a bit more flexible. The additional $50 charge for each hour of early arrival or late departure felt somewhat restrictive. “My family and I had the most wonderful time staying at this home. It was the perfect place for my husband's side of the family to gather with our 2 year old - made every meal at the home, great places to gather for meals either inside or on the deck, direct water access, kayaks, bonfires, hot tub! We will definitely be back! We'll just be better about bringing water shoes next time. The shale on the beach is not friendly to your feet!”

“The house reminded us of a cabin that isn’t used often. The furniture was well used and smelled. The house overall had a musty smell. The carpets were extremely dirty. We couldn’t walk around without our feet or socks turning black. We took our two infants along and their legs and feet were black from walking and crawling around. The kitchen table was very sticky. We tried cleaning it and nothing would help. The dishes we used needed to be washed and rinsed out before using because they were visibly dirty. Two of the beds had bugs in the bottom of the sheets. Two days before we checked in, the company called us saying we couldn’t use the dock because the winter weather had warped it. There were still ways to access the lake, but that was a bummer. We spent the majority of our time outside. The lake is stunning and very relaxing. We will definitely be going back to Keuka, but never to this house.”

“The house was beautiful and had a private dock right on Lake Seneca. 10 of us rented it out for my bachelorette trip. It was our first time visiting the Finger Lakes and we had a wonderful time. The hosts were responsive and left clear instructions. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because the one of the bathrooms on the bottom floor didn’t have hot water our entire trip. Additionally, there were no cleaning supplies, or hand soap in the kitchen or spare dishrags or spare linens beyond the individual packed towels. The host only provided 2 dishwashing tablets and a small bottle of dish soap meaning that we bought extra cleaning supplies (e.g paper towels, dishwasher tablets, garbage bags) in order to complete the checkout instructions which was mildly annoying. Other than that we had a wonderful stay right on Lake Seneca, the views from the lake were beautiful, peaceful, relaxing and exactly what we were looking for our group! Thank you for having us!”

“We specifically booked a house with a hot tub. We reported right away. Technician couldn’t come out until the follow afternoon. Because the tub was so dirty he had to drain it clean it then refill it. It was too cold to use”

“Finger Lake Premiere properties charge excessive hourly fees for early check-in, even though no one is obviously staying there. The place smelled and appeared as if it had not been used in months and was infested with large house flies. All beds are very uncomfortable with minimal linens. The downstairs bathroom shower did not work because the handle controlling the valves is stripped. Floors were uninsulated and cold. The Wi-Fi code was incorrect, and they didn't recognize that this was an issue for paying guests who needed it for work. However, they did get back to me the next day, but would not have if it were on the weekend for "Non-emergencies". Given that there was a severe storm last week, I could deal with a bit of debris in the yard and even on the dock, but there were massive piles of driftwood on the dock that made using it very hazardous. Airbnb is good, but these rental companies using it take advantage of the system, which is not good for Airbnb.”
