Casago Central Oregon Coast
4.56Visit website
Casago Central Oregon Coast's guest rating of 4.56 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“We spent 8 days at this house. From the start, there were problems. The dead bolt & back up key didn’t work, which we immediately communicated to the host and they said they would send someone out. We messaged them a lot over 6 days but no one came out to fix the lock until the 7th day, during which time we were unable to lock the door. There were other minor issues: trash & recycle bins were full when we got there and there were no instructions about trash pick up (we would have been happy to set it on the curb). There was a large rodent or animal in the walls which we mentioned to the host and they said they would send someone out after our stay. When we arrived all towels were damp and we had to clean out the lint tramp so that things dried properly, and 3 out of 4 hood lights in the range hood were out and we asked them to replace which they never did. The musty smell on the sofa is still there as previous reviews note. However, location is hard to beat! Just steps away from beach.”airbnb

“It is the first house that I rent that almost everything was bad, starting that the house smelled very bad, the sheets, blankets and pillow covers smelled very bad and had stains, the garbage can in the kitchen super dirty and smelled bad, the dishes and pans were dirty we had to wash many dishes before using them, especially a frying pan was totally dirty it was still with food burned stuck to the frying pan, the fridge was dirty, under the beds and the sofa bed there was garbage that swept the house and left the garbage There, the entrance to the house was full of totally disgusting bird poop. Photos look totally different from what it really is inside.”airbnb

“The house was beautiful, but the view was ehh. Nothing like the picture with the grass over grown. Part of the yard in the picture isn’t even part of the yard. Some things left around the house. The house wasn’t able to be locked even with the physical key so we were nervous venturing out. I’d say it would’ve been a better deal had we actually gotten the full two days two nights like we booked. The location was 10/10 and perfect for any small family wanting a beach trip.”airbnb

“We were extremely disappointed with the condition of the property upon our arrival. For the amount we paid, we expected a clean, well-maintained home, but unfortunately that was not our experience. The lower-level bedrooms had a strong mildew odor, there was hair left in the showers and bathroom sinks, dirty dishes were still in the dishwasher, moldy food had been left in the kitchen sink, and the floors had clearly not been vacuumed—we even found three used Band-Aids on the floor. Additionally, the hot tub, which was one of the reasons we chose this property, contained sand and other debris, making it unusable during our stay. The condition of the home was so disappointing that we seriously considered leaving and finding other accommodations. Unfortunately, nothing else was available, so we had no choice but to stay. These conditions are simply not acceptable for a rental at this price point.”airbnb

“Bad Stay! The house was filthy, floors were dirty. No second shower, because they didn’t replace the shower head! The new one was sitting in the bathroom cupboard! No communication from them. 6 adults shared one bedroom! The bbq grill was unusable, we borrowed the neighbors grill to grill burgers. The bed pillows were stained, very disgusting! Beach access was a steep rocky hill and with a rope to climb down and back up! Very dangerous. Kitchen stove burners are rusted. The refrigerator was absolutely destroyed. Rusted on the front of the door and inside. This house is in need of repairs and new updated appliances. We will always remember this house in a negative light! Next time we will do a better job finding a beautiful home to stay for the money we spent! Be aware before booking this house!”airbnb

“Casa"No": The temperature read at 87° at check in, it took about three hours to cool down. The hot tub had murky water with residue, never got addressed by Casago despite my repeated inquiries. The dishwasher had an old out-of-order sign, I then saw another review about the same problem back in January of this year, so obviously, they have no intention of replacing the dilapidated appliances, yet you still insist on charging your guests a full price for this partly functional inferior rental only cloaked by AI assisted inaccurate photos on the web description. The dryer didn’t work either. The power cord appeared to be partly pulled out, almost as if to ensure the guest wouldn’t be able to use it or something, and I wouldn’t have felt safe enough to try to re-plug it back in anyway. As the photos show, your electric cooktop and the glass on the oven look very dirty and in need of replacement. The carpet had stains all over the place. The couch had a bad, greasy smell with brown spots”airbnb

“I rarely leave negative reviews, but future guests should be aware of our experience. We arrived expecting the amenities listed, but there was no TV service and no internet during our entire stay. What was meant to be a relaxing birthday trip turned into constant messaging with Airbnb support and troubleshooting instead of enjoying the stay. The biggest issue was the lack of communication from the host company (Casago). We never received a response from an actual person before, during, or after our stay—only automated messages. Even several days after returning home, we still had no follow-up or acknowledgment of the issues. Airbnb did eventually provide a full reimbursement, but only after significant effort and delay, which added stress to what should have been a simple resolution. While the location itself was fine, the missing essentials and complete lack of host communication made the experience very disappointing, and I would not book with this management company ever again.”airbnb

“Note to self, if the place has very few reviews over a span of five years, it’s probably not a good idea to book. Is the view from the window gorgeous? Yes. But the place has not been updated in decades. I mean, decades! I’m not picky and talking about decor. I’m talking about bedding that has pilling on it, beds that are decades old. Pillows flatter than pancakes. Furniture that’s so old and has staining from useon it. Spots on the carpet stained. The place has a very visible smell as soon as you walk in of mustiness. found women’s long black hair on towels in the bathroom, on the floor in the bathroom and one in the bed. Hopefully these were from the housekeeper. I do not recommend this place. I am not one to cut a place down. All I ask for is comfortable furnishings and cleanliness. When I tried several times to communicate with the management team, I got responses that says sorry for your inconvenience. These seemed very AI generated. We only stayed one of the two nights we booked”airbnb

“**** please read *** was notified at my actual time of check in of a water main break and could not stay. When speaking with someone, they updated me that 1.5 hrs prior they were notified by their contacts about this. Casago could've told me this at that time but chose not too, instead waiting until my actual check in time. I was presented with three options but would be unable to stay the 5 day duration of my entire vacation and would have to move back to the original house that was now under construction. To me this is incredibly disrespectful because of the timing and the fact they were unwilling to provide any accommodation other than two days which would interrupt our vacation. They were unwilling to provide compensation as well. they have only been renting out for 6 months, they have at least 500 properties, most all are dog friendly (so I would be careful of that). I had to find an emergency place to stay, much more expensive being a holiday weekend. Just be careful with them.”airbnb
