Casago Central Oregon Coast in Neskowin, Oregon

“The view is IMMACULATE. Would stay again just for the view. The bed was extremely comfortable. There were some things that were underwhelming that I’d like to point out: - With the way the doors are angled it’s very difficult to enter the required 6+ digit code to enter the facility. - Listing states that it sleeps 4, however that is not 4 adults. The pullout couch is smaller than we had anticipated. Our 5’2” guest had to sleep diagonal in order to fit comfortably. - Shower door was broken, making it extremely difficult to shower. I messaged the renter but never received a response back. - Place needed a deep clean, there was quite a bit of dust & cobwebs. - Bathroom was missing a good chunk of flooring next to the door.”

“We have stayed in Neskowin several times. We were very disappointed this time that the bridge for beach access was closed. There is a way to walk around via the restaurant, but makes it much harder to clean off coming back from the beach. This was the primary reason we booked this place. I notified the host the first evening of our stay and was told they were looking into it. I asked again the next day and they had no information. It was still closed when we left. The place itself was fine although quite dirty on the floor (hard with beach just in general) but the listing description is inaccurate to what youre actually getting and host offered no Help with this.”

“The carpets are very dirty. We had no bedding for one of the beds. Also there were no kitchen towels. We had to use bath towels which were also limited. It had a broken door and several windows that did not work. One of the chairs were so loose structurally if we would had used it, it would have shattered. One couple left after having to sleep without bedding. That put a damper on our family get together. Location on the beach was nice. Needs a huge upgrade on furniture. Most were old and worn out. I owned vacation rentals and I would be ashamed to say this was one of my properties. I think we need a huge rebate for this property.”

“Overall, the place was good for the price paid. The address was misleading, the room was not on the water as it appeared on the map. The blankets, towels and pillows were threadbare, grey, stained, and ready for retirement. The kitchen had the right amount of dish ware, though we could have used a strainer and cookie sheet. In general, the rooms were clean, the WiFi worked well, and the beach area was not over crowded.”

“The unit is very nice, with a great location. The bed was comfortable. Our main issue was that the heaters were not going on and, when I contacted Casago, they wanted a picture of the dial that turns on the register. Really? I did not have my camera with me (no cell phone at the time), so I could not send them a photo of the basic dial with temperature numbers at the top. Since the weather was relatively warm, I decided that further communication with them was not work the hassle. Why they couldn't have send someone over to check it out is beyond me. Worst property management experience I've had in my 30 years of vacationing at many properties in Neskowin. If I were the owner, I'd look elsewhere for other PM services.”
