Casago Central Oregon Coast in Depoe Bay, Oregon

“location was fantastic. house had everything we needed. beds where comfortable. only a few things to note! there is a bad smell coming out of the kitchen sink. and the refrigerator smelled like bad fish. and to get into the house is tricky and takes a lot of patience with the lock & codes. ceiling fans up stairs are very dusty. Other than that it was very nice.”

“This place is beautiful. It is actually two complete condos. The upstairs is a 1 bedroom, 1 and 1/2 bath and the downstairs is a 2 bedroom 1 bath. Both are set up with full kitchens and have a lockout door to enable them to be rented separately. The pictures on the listing should be updated because the place is actually nicer than shown. The setting is also beautiful. It is right on the coast with a spectacular oceanfront setting. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the ocean and the beautiful sunsets. The unit is beautifully furnished, clean and close to everything in town. So why four stars instead of five? First, for a luxury listing, they went very cheap with the amenities. The appliances, utensils and dishes are inexpensive. The paper towels and TP are one ply and thin. The lock to the slider in the main bedroom is broken and the door code is for a key lockbox, not to open the door. A simple upgrade to these items would make this a perfect five stars instead.”

“Breathtaking view and amazing house! The place was awesome. We did rent the place for the pinball machine and video game; however, the pinball was stuck and they couldn’t get ahold of the local crew to fix it. My daughter left her stuffed animal there (our fault), but it’s taken a week of back and forth to see if they have it. They still have to check with the local crew after the guest leave. It’s understandable— but if you need something quick it’s a bother.”

“Beware pictures are nice but the place doesnt look like pics. You can use fire place or hot tub per sign in unit. Long overgrown walk to beach with 2ft drop at end. Place was dirty. Hole in walls. Electric plug in bathroom did not work One light out in main bathroom. Ants, dirty pans. Fridge was clean. No casing around slider so draft & moisture. See pics”

“This is a beautiful location in an area with lots of things to do. We went to Lincoln City and successfully found a float (awesome activity). We went to Depoe Bay and unsuccessfully whale watched, but had some fantastic coffee and clam chowder for lunch. The house itself is very charming. It has sweeping views of the ocean along a beach. It is showing its age, and could use some maintenance. The washer had dirty water in it and a sign on it that said “out of order”. We had already been traveling and packed light, so this was a pretty big inconvenience. We let the hosts know, and they said they would look into it, but never got back to us over our three night stay. Long story short, we loved the location and place, but could use some improvements.”
