“Great location. Near anything you might need.”

“I was expecting this house to contain a lot more. It is located downtown. There were stains on my arrival the bathroom was dirty. All the kitchen appliances had dust. There was no grill. The host said they would take care of things and while the stain was removed I was very displeased with this place. I stayed there for a month. The shower curtain was red from stains( prior to my arrival).”

“The cleaning has nothing to do with the host, but we found the house very dirty: dust everywhere, the beds were dirty with stains, the bathrooms were very dirty, the shower curtains looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years, the refrigerator hadn't been cleaned, the dishes were very dirty, large flies appeared out of nowhere, and it smelled strange. I spent more than 6 hours cleaning. I ​​tried to extend my stay for two more weeks, and the host told me to just modify the reservation and he would accept it. Two days before my stay was supposed to end, I asked him why I hadn't received confirmation, and he told me he had already rented it to someone else.”

“Beautiful place, but mess of an Airbnb. Host was rude, often unresponsive and tried to charge extra fees (Trash can was overflowing when we arrived; they tried to charge a fee and took a week to remove it). Broken lamp & drawers, no hangers, terribly stocked kitchen, spilled oil in a drawer, cheap hot plate instead of stove, cheap toilet paper & cost-cutting every way they can. “Weekly hot tub maintenance” & “weekly trash take down” do not exist- but you pay for it and haul your own trash! Downstairs bedrooms smaller than pictured & gross; broken window shade, reeked of sewage & broken toilet. Water was off for days & then ran dirty. 1 week of daily requests and involvement of Airbnb Support Team to get any action. Host withheld our mail until Airbnb fixed the situation! Sauna is nice & we enjoyed it, though dirty towels on the floor when we arrived. We loved being in Manitou; views/yard are fantastic & great walkability. Host was rude & difficult - we left early bcs it was so bad.”

“The cottages and courtyard were perfect for our needs. We stayed pretty much the entire summer. The host was very responsive whenever we had a problem. The only issue was the location of the cottages. Not being from around here, I didn't realize what a busy street Uintah is. Lots of noise, traffic, and emergency vehicles. The bedrooms, however, must be really well insulated, because once we retired, we couldn't hear any traffic noise. Other than that, we had a wonderful time. The cottages are well equipped, and the only thing one needs to do is grocery shopping.”

“The overall setting and experience with the host was very good for this property. The views and walkability to Manitou were fantastic. There are a few things that I wish I would've known prior to booking, however. There is not AC throughout the house - which was an issue as we stayed for 4 weeks in the dead of summer. There were small window units that did not keep up with cooling the home when temperatures were in the mid 90's. Also, there is no stove, only a small 2 "burner" induction plate which really struggled to heat and cook the food, especially at elevation. Some positives were the ability to have our dogs safely stay in the fenced yard, the sauna and hot tub amenities, and the staggering sunsets over Pike's Peak. All in all, a good place to stay, as long as you know the pro's and the con's.”
