“It was a great central location and easy to get to booth bay!”

“It was a very good stay and it was clean. It was a very quiet area and was close to most places within the area. Overall I would come again but I would have liked it there were cookie sheets to use and a place to put shower necessities in the shower.”

“Great location if you don't mind walking to town. Peaceful setting with beautiful landscaped yard. I'm guessing we were the first guests of the season. Someone should have done a better job checking things. The coffee maker & microwave didn't work. The burners on the stove didn't light..and both bathrooms were missing the dispensers for soap, shampoo, etc”

“Overall, a beautiful location with great views of the river! Right on the edge of a lovely town. The house is accurate to the description. Two of our guests did end up sleeping on the futon as the beds were not very comfortable. The host did not respond to messages with questions about instructions that were posted on the walls of the home.”

“This was our first time staying in Acadia/Mount Desert Island, and after this experience we would rather stay at an inn. The Airbnb was essentially a one bedroom with an extra kitchenette sink, cutlery and dishes were provided but the refrigerator leaked and there was no kettle or microwave. Hosts (a vacation rental company) communicated with us exclusively via chat rather than put key information in the listing itself. Worst of all, we had the misfortune of leaving a bag of chargers at the Airbnb and after three weeks, no one has helped us with getting them back. They keep directing us towards other people in the company or saying they will call back, but they never do. At that point, why even respond?”

“Despite our original booking with Tides To Pines being cancelled suddenly before our departure, the new location they provided us with was lovely and only suffered from a disorganized kitchen. Despite that the location was gorgeous and had incredible views.”

“The house was beautiful with a pretty view in the backyard and easy access to the dock. There were enough supplies for 8 people in the house. Even though description says no hair dryer, there was one. The things we didn’t like were the master bed room bedsheet and comforter had lot of tiny hair throughout and it was disgusting. Also the place is really isolated from the city so a good getaway but it’s 30 mins drive to bar harbor and ellsworth so if you are hungry you’ll have to drive. No uber eats. And before we made the trip, they told us that we can’t use the fire place inside the house so we asked them if we can use the grill in the backyard but they never replied. Later on, found out that no grill was there in the house”

“The location was beautiful but we were disappointed with the house maintenance. Especially the doors of the house were not up to the mark and it wasn’t possible for us to lock the house since doors was not in good condition probably due to cold weather. We werent able to lock the front and the back doors of the house.”

“When I got there, I noticed the trash was full and looked like animals tried getting into it. When I spoke with the owner because I had to get the wi-fi password because the one they emailed me was wrong, I mentioned the garbage and they said it would be picked up the next day, but it was never picked up. Also, when I walked around to the front of the house, there was half a marijuana joint on the ground right near the door and when I opened the fridge, it smelled really bad like rotten fish. Inside one of the draws in the kitchen, the measuring cups were covered in what looked like pancake batter.”
