Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing due to the lack of cleanliness of the Airbnb. Upon arrival, the floors were so dirty that while unpacking, the bottoms of our feet turned black from simply walking around the unit. We contacted the host and were told someone would come clean them, but due to what appeared to be a miscommunication, no one ever came that day. The most concerning issue was finding a cockroach inside the unit. At one point, our eight-month-old baby was actually playing with it before we noticed, which was extremely upsetting and raised serious concerns about the cleanliness of the property. Someone arrived the next morning to clean, but the space was very small and it would have been awkward and disruptive while we were occupying it. Although the host communicated with us, the issues were never resolved during our stay, and no compensation or effort was made to make things right. We would not stay here again nor recommend.

I have never given a 2 star rating in over 10 years as an AirBnB user. The house itself and location was great. However Casago made zero attempts to rectify a bad situation- a loud construction project happening right next door, making peaceful mornings and afternoon naps impossible. No compensation was offered and our request for a late check out was denied. I was so disappointed that what should have been a quiet, relaxing retreat was not to be. Certainly the company knew the construction was happening with enough time for us to make the decision whether to rebook elsewhere, but they chose not to until it was too late to move. If you plan to rent this place in the next month or so (today is May 23, 2026), be forewarned.

Texted twice to Casago on day 2 and day 3 about the coffee maker not working. Gave up after that. It was the same text number to check in and they responded to that one. Five people in the house and we had to go out to get black coffee every day. Poor customer service once we checked in.

Upon arrival we could not get into the unit. We had to communicate several times and wait over 30 minutes to finally get entry after traveling all day. Once we got in, we noticed the unit was hot. The thermostats were difficult to understand how to use and there were two ac units one was broken and didn't work so our daughter's bedroom was cold but mine and my husband's was extremely hot, despite numerous complaints and requests we ended up staying and getting ready in 80° rooms for a family wedding that was extremely uncomfortable and frustrating and disappointing. The patios were filthy. You couldn't sit on the chairs they were so dirty and stained, the towels were few and hard like sandpaper. and there were no beach towels in the unit at all, even though it is a "beach" villa. I would not book here again. There were too many other competing and wonderful locations in the area to go through this again.

Great location but the unit did not meet expectations for a Kiawah property. Smell and cleanliness were issues. Bed linens and towels not up to par for the fee. Not a good experience.

Home is dated- microwave did not work and we had an infant- it was necessary to have. We checked in on Saturday, didn’t get a replacement until Tuesday. The water kicks off in the shower; for no reason- Words don’t even describe my level of frustrationThere was hair all over the shower curtain in the jack-n-Jill bathroom. The tv in the bedroom we stayed in was the size of a large iPad- for what we paid I expected to be able to see the tv! I am very disappointed in my overall stay. The vent in the kitchen is filthy with dust and rust covering it- all where we prepare our food. Would request a partial refund, but figure it’s a waste of time.

I'm extremely disappointed with the management team being used. I requested a early check-in due to getting to a wedding. we made a few calls and text to avail. Their team stated they'd get back to us. Each time they stated they were waiting on a team member to confirm cleaning. We watched their cleaning person leave around 1pm. They responded we were clear to enter at 357Pm for the 4pm check in. Next issue, no internet for tvs or work computers. The Casago team were zero help. The TV in my room didn't work to even come on. Good location for beach access. Tough exiting the subdivision during high traffic volumes. But for close to 800.00 dollars a night for two nights this place should be perfect. It wasn't. No Keureg. Pretty clean place. Found a few hairs but not a deal breaker. This isn't the owners fault but if this place was mine I'd search for a better company.

The condo was very nice. The air conditioning stopped working on the second day and it wasn't fixed until late on our last day and then about 4 hours later it stopped working again. The response to our problem was awful. We texted numerous times and never got an immediate response until Wednesday night. There were no directions on how the nest thermostat worked. The right up said that the beach was in walking distance but there were no directions on how to get there. We had to ask someone in the parking lot. The location was good and the unit was fine. The response to our problem made it very uncomfortable for spending time in the unit.

Unit is older and needs updating. Musty smell with dehumidifier running in hallway- I emptied it twice a day. Dishes with dried food in cupboards - when I advised manager of this I received a msg apologizing. Two days later came back to unit at end of day to find a housekeeper hand washing the dishes- NO Notice! Again notified management who claimed they knew nothing about this. Screened porch is nice, but large holes in screens don’t keep bugs out. Shower in master bath runs lukewarm- had to shower in 2nd bathroom. When stripping the bed at the end of my stay I noted stains on the pillows- gross! 2nd floor unit- you can hear every step the folks upstairs took. Not worth the money- beautiful area - not so much the unit. I won’t be renting any units managed by this company again!!

The unit in Summer Wind Villas was nice. Spacious and well equipped. Close to beach. Casago (rental company - poor). We didn’t get directions for lock box and had to call a few times before we were able to get in. The washer needs to be updated. It was so loud that we were barely able to finish the ONE LOAD we did all week. There was brown water in toilet and sink, but resolved after we ran faucets. Still, we did not do laundry or use tap water all week. We reached out about the water and the washer. We did not get timely response. Finally received messages saying “we’re sorry, we will work on it.” They don’t answer phone calls. I asked for an extra night, comped, due to our troubles and I was told I could extend my stay (and pay for it) or they could forward my request to the “internal team” for review. The “internal team” never got back to us after several follow ups on our end. Candid review - the unit was fine except for the laundry. The price was great. The service was poor.
