“Overall, our stay was okay, but we didn't feel like it was worth the price. I didn't realize when booking that the property was within the Kiawah Island Golf Resort or just how far it was from Charleston. That's completely on me, but worth mentioning for anyone considering staying here. The place itself felt pretty small for what we paid, especially compared to the larger accommodations we'd stayed in near downtown Charleston for less money. The bed was also small and not particularly comfortable. What really bothered me was the bedding. Instead of an actual comforter, it seemed to be a cheap comforter insert sandwiched between two flat sheets. Once the sheets shifted, you were left with a rough, uncomfortable blanket. It just seemed like an odd place to cut corners. On the positive side, the hosts were quick to respond when needed, which we appreciated. Nothing was terribly wrong with the place, but for the price, we expected a little more and wouldn't choose to stay here again.”

“The house was nice, clean and definitely big enough to accommodate our larger family for the weekend. It rained for most of the weekend so we appreciated having the games and TVs available for entertainment. The surrounding area is so beautiful and being able to walk to the beach was wonderful! Unfortunately some of the beds / pillows were pretty uncomfortable and the house was missing some basic things that would be normal to provide for a weekend at this price point (dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, coffee maker - not single cup, aluminum foil, body wash etc). We also had a frustrating exchange about late check-out where we were told to message the team on the day of check-out in the morning to request late check-out but when we called we were told the office was closed. No one got back to us until 1.5 hrs after the original check-out time which was pretty inconvenient. Check-out instructions were also confusing incl. starting the dishwasher when we weren't given detergent.”

“We had a very nice stay at this Airbnb. We were a bit surprised to find the house is pretty far onto Kiawa Island rather than on John’s Island as listed. Nevertheless, the drive into Kiawa Island is very beautiful. The community is very nice and peaceful. We loved the proximity to the boardwalks and beach. The home itself was very lovely! We had a large group of family, yet we had plenty of sitting room, spacious bedrooms and ample bathrooms. A few guests mentioned the mattresses being uncomfortable, but we understand it can be hard to suit everyone’s preference. Otherwise, we had everything we needed and more. It was a wonderful stay.”
