Stay Texas
4.76Visit website
Stay Texas's guest rating of 4.76 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“This is my second stay in this cabin and will not be my last. It’s honestly exactly what I need in order to get away from the hospital life I work every single day. It’s beautiful, peaceful, and just a short drive to Main Street if I choose to get out and about. Honestly, I could just stay at the cabin and enjoy the quiet forever. Absolutely perfect and I cannot wait to come back again!”airbnb

“Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The upstairs room with the bunk beds had bed bugs, and by the time the owner finally responded, we were told we needed to leave the Airbnb and relocate to another one that was 45 minutes away. This was extremely inconvenient, especially since we had already started drinking and could not safely drive that far. On top of that, the upstairs smelled strongly like fish the entire stay, and there was no toilet paper stocked anywhere in the house. Overall, the cleanliness, communication, and handling of the situation were very poor. I would not stay here again.”airbnb

“Beautiful and clean house. Only a couple of complaints. Was given the wrong door code to get in and had to wait to contact property mgmt to get in. There were no instructions on how to lock the keypad from the outside and they never responded about that over the two days we were there. There were no paper towels though every other amenity was available. Would recommend a covering for the top window in the master bedroom so you can sleep past 7am if you want.”airbnb

“Beautifully decorated home with original one of a kind signed artifacts from presidents enjoying Messina Hof wine! Cons: Outside Management Company with several unexpected fees. We missed this detail in the listing that they require a $1000 credit card hold paid outside of AirBnb on the management company's site to receive check in instructions or a non refundable insurance fee of $49 to access the home. There is a $60 fee to access any earlier than 4PM even though cabin was available. It would have been nice to drop off items 1 hour earlier in the Texas heat during our tasting. Host kept pushing communication off of AirBnB. Guests are instructed to hand wash and return utensils as a part of checkout instructions which made us wonder if they were sanitized. Wifi access point is at the tasting room & doesn't reach the home. Unreachable WiFi prevented streaming to the TV from our devices Pros: Coffee, muffins and sparkling wine were an amazing touch! DirectTV. Amazing winery nearby!”airbnb

“The property was perfect. Great location and top tier renovation with great furniture and fixtures. I wish every Airbnb was so well appointed. But I won’t book another property managed by “StayTexas.” It is heavily commercialized. They have outsourced customer communications to a call center. They are not local, there are no names used, property knowledge is limited, support follows a script, and all communications are filtered through ChatGPT or another bit of AI software. It isn’t an issue until you have a problem, and then it is. For us, it was the WiFi. It didn’t work when we checked in and ultimately didn’t work the entire stay. I still don’t understand why. Reading recent reviews more carefully, it’s clear other recent guests also had problems with the wifi. So now I am left to wonder - was their inability to fix the WiFi incompetence from a poorly executed outsourcing process or malfeasance to hide WiFi they already knew was broken? Great property though!”airbnb

“There was no remote in the living room, we requested one twice, they never brought one! So all weekend no tv!!”airbnb

“The place was overall decent. The pictures are starting to misrepresent what the current condition is if things aren’t addressed soon. Deck, patio etc needs pressure washing, paint, rotten wood, and some of the patio furniture needs replacing and it looks like it caught on fire from the solo fire pit. Interior was very clean, and is a comfortable space. Pots and pans are severely lacking and the coffee pot in the pics was replaced by a very cheap and small one that didn’t meet the needs of everyone for the stay. Provide better products for the coffee and remove old spices etc from the shelves.”airbnb

“This is by far my worst stay through airbnb and we had to leave a day earlier. The place was not clean, we found mold in the laundry room, stove knows were not working, sink was leaking and we couldn't even wash the dishes without having water onbthe floor. Bathroom door upstairs didn’t latch. We couldn't access the guest house the first day because the code was not working. The host fix the code at almost 1am. The sliding doors are hard to open/close. Dining table and chairs were lose and coming undone when having dinner. Veru unpleasant experience. I do not recommend this place.”airbnb

“The internet didn’t work for the entire 5 day stay. Texas Hospitality Group never fixed it and simply seemed uninterested in truly addressing the issue. After my stay, they didn’t even respond to my request for a partial refund through the Airbnb website as I was directed by Airbnb. Ultimately I got a partial refund but it came from Airbnb, not the responsible party (Texas Hospitality Group). I feel this was a direct reflection of Texas Hospitality Group’s business practices”airbnb
