“The house itself is very nice and in a great location, close to everything we needed and wanted to experience. However, the condition of the property prevents me from giving it more than 2 stars. The dishes were so caked with dust that we had to run a load through the dishwasher before we could even eat anything. We were unable to use the yard for our dog due to the literally hundreds of anthills throughout it. The ants even made their way into the house, forcing us to throw away all the baked goods we had purchased at the Old German Bakery. Upon checkout, the management company requested private feedback. Their response is precisely why I decided to make my concerns public. Rather than simply apologizing, they suggested that I was at fault for not reporting these issues sooner and giving them an opportunity to rectify the situation. Were we supposed to have had an exterminator come spray chemicals during our stay? Nice place, poorly maintained and managed unfortunately.”

“Because of all the issues that we had upon check-in. The inability to control spa/hot tub temperature on our own, air not functioning in guest house upon arrival, door knobs falling off when opening exterior doors, and the addition of ants in kitchen/sink area this was not in my opinion worth what we paid. One main reason we booked a property with a hot tub was to be able to use it and enjoy it. I will say the host did send someone out the morning after we checked in to fix the broken door knob and check on the a/c in guest house. The guy was able to get a window unit in that area working. Overall I would not choose this property again.”

“We had a great time at this place!! The only things that could improve would be lighting (several outlets didn't work/lamps not working so it was hard to get lighting at times), and the television/entertainment. Granted we did not really need it, but there was no way to access any of the internet features on the television (Netflix or on-demand) because it required some additional tech that wasn't present, and TV in bedroom was non-functional. Overall we loved our stay, though! I did the communication to be a bit excessive; not sure dozens of texts before the stay or reminders to confirm and check-in instructions are necessary.”

“While we enjoyed our time, this house price was just way out of the norm for what we’ve rented around here and we were underwhelmed. The misleading description and the many cars that drive by making it not feel remote. Half of the acreage was fenced off and unusable, prob closer to 1.5 acres of use. The vents were all extremely dirty, the maintenance guy showed up after check in to work on items, the septic truck came and made large muddy tracks so our kids were muddy feet all weekend, and one room was outside we had no idea was in another house. Overall it worked out but for the splurge this house was, it wasn’t worth it.”

“The location was excellent. Had a "private" Hot Tub but apparently anyone who stayed there had access to it. It would not be a problem but it is located almost outside bedroom windows and the other tenants decided it was a good idea to get in at midnight, making it difficult to sleep. Also the place was very dusty and dirty. Had to clean it myself to feel comfortable. For the price I paid expected more.”
