“Beware. Pool was extremely dirty, pool filters were visibly dirty and bottom of the pool had a lot of branches, dirt, grass, and leaves. Pool didnt have a skimmer to get the surface trash off. There was a live electrical panel by the pool equipment that was open. I message the host to let them know this was very dangerous, they sent someone out and said the panel was dead and not being used any more. I’m a licensed electrician and can confirm the pool equipment was being ran off the panel. (I have pics) This is an extremely dangerous thing because it’s very low to the ground and a kid can get inside it and come in contact with live electrical parts. Inside of the house was dirty, the walls and baseboards were very dirty. The bathroom tub was very dirty and had peeling paint at the bottom of it, outside of bathtub was dirty. Furniture is very cheap and uncomfortable. I set a case of water on the kitchen table and the top fell off almost smashing my feet. Overall bad experience”

“The place was nice. For the number of people allowed (10), the car situation was difficult. We had a wedding party and had to constantly shuffle wedding party cars to other rentals to maintain the car count. Also had issue with "visitors" the morning of the wedding. We had hair/makeup people and photographer coming over for pre-wedding rituals (pushing total count to 12 not 10). When I alerted Wendy about this she was hard lined about number of guests, regardless if these people were working or not. Not what I wanted to deal with on wedding day. I guess I should be grateful the lawn people did not come that weekend. Would I have had to make someone leave while they cut grass? It was actually a little ridiculous. Nice place, but zero flexibility. It's not like I was asking to have 10 cars and 40 people there the morning of the wedding. If your party has these types of logistics, would not recommend this place.”

“The host of this property appears to be completely unfamiliar with the property. Prior to booking I asked if the boat ramp could accommodate my 24’ Jet boat with Wake Tower and was told “It’s wide enough for a pontoon boat. You’ll drive under the carport area first, and that leads directly to the boat ramp, or you can use the ramp adjacent to the carport”. The ability to launch and dock my own boat was the reason for selecting this property. At the lake side of the carport are three 24” deep steps, stepping down to the ramp which make this an unusable lake access route for any boat trailer. The ramp at the water’s edge is completely broken apart in both large and “crumbling (gravel like)” pieces making it unsafe/unusable to launch any boat. The photos shown in the Airbnb listing are misleading as they are old. What looks like small bushes next to the boat ramp adjacent to the house are now 15’ – 20’ Fir trees that protrude into the 10’ wide ramp to only allow 7’ 6” of clearance”

“I’ve never left a bad review for anyone and I give lots of grace because I am a host myself. I paid almost 5k to stay in this place with my entire family for a week. I asked to pay for a party of 9 vs 8 since the ninth person doesn’t walk (7mo). An exception was made. This place had trash in it when we got it. The pillows had overt and identifiable bodily fluids on them. Finding period blood was the least of the issues here. There were 3 towels for the entire trip. They say they provide “basics”; they don’t. These people took the Airbnb experience and turned it into maximum profit for themselves for the minimum accommodations. You wanna wash your hands? Bring your own soap. You want to stay for a week? Bring paper towels, tp, and extra towels. The host fought me and said that “I just couldn’t find them”. I recorded the whole thing. Spiderwebs everywhere inside - like, they hit you when you come in. Outside? Let’s not begin on that topic..They dont provide comforters for all the “bed…”

“Very disappointed. When you walk in there is a musty smell and the house is not clean. The couch was stained and filthy. It was not usable as a pull out bed option due to condition. The floors were dirty and had cracked tiles in the kitchen and bathroom. The ceiling paint was peeling. The dangerous issues were there is a large hole in the back deck and the floor boards in one of the bedrooms are unstable. The front railing is also not attached properly. We asked to be moved to another property which was available through this same owner and were told no without a reason. I have stayed with Wendy before and was quite satisfied so this was a very disappointing experience for a graduation weekend”

“We stayed during University of South Carolina graduation- of course the prices were raised and had minimums. We paid 2k for 4 nights. Check in was 4pm early was not an option. I thought there would be a little more amenities. This is a shared house. We rented upstairs and there were other guests downstairs. The house is run down. The couch in the picture is not in living room, the coffee maker leaked the only 2x we used it. We could not get in or use the front door at all - the code did not work. The deck paint is chipping and peeling. Outdoor string lights do not work, deck furniture is dirty and old. The bathroom is very small- there is no hair dryer. If you want to cook there are 2 pans. The queen bedroom does not have a mirror at all. Both bedrooms had white comforters and pillows not like the pictures. The king mattress was comfortable. But the shower all of a sudden becomes scolding hot for a few minutes then goes back to normal.”

“House smelled very heavy of smoke, but advised as smoke free. A total lie. My clothes reeked of smoke and I couldn’t even sleep. We had to exit the property early as we could not take the smell. Host was unwilling to provide a full refund of unused nights. I was also surprised how bad the area was where the properly was located. Place next door has wood falling off the house. Very very disappointing. I have never had a poor experience like this with AirBnB before. I hope they remove this property from their listings.”

“There's a pothole in the driveway that is large and deep enough to damage a small car. The house was not cleaned, dirty sheets, soiled spots on the walls and in the corners. Stains on the living room furniture. BUGS! Bugs in the bedrooms including small dark round bugs and tiny wasps. Reservation for 5 adults but we only had 3 sets of towels. One of the bedrooms had badly peeling paint, which is a hazard for young children. The host, Wendy, thanked me for bringing these things to her attention. She sent more bath towels but no washcloths, and bug spray for roaches, ants, and spiders. I asked for wasp spray because my husband is allergic, but was not provided with wasp spray. I was not offered a refund or any compensation when I reached out to the host. It was a very bad experience for me and my family.”

“lock code was wrong, had to wait outside for lister to get back to me with correct code. noisy area at times while trying to sleep. asked for a late checkout, was not granted, unreasonable, and communication was terrible regarding this. do NOT recommend”
