“The location of this bnb was amazing. Such a great little area. Good food, so pretty. The house was cute and shared but VERY quiet. I was impressed - it was quite a lovely atmosphere! The house itself needed maintenance. I didn't mention anything to the host company as we were on vacation and trying to relax, not stress about issues. When we arrived we were given the wrong entrance code, which wasn't a big deal at first and the host was on it. As soon as we walked in, the smoke dectector was chirping on low batteries so we had to go buy batteries and replace them. When we put our baby down on the floor to unpack (he crawled across the living room), his knees and feet were black from dirt. The floors were incredibly dirty - everything else seemed clean. The garbage can outside was overflowing as nobody had brought it to the curb before leaving. Overall, I'd probably stay here again if it had a maintenance check, but it definitely needed a little loving from the company.”

“Great location, updated kitchen, & bathroom. The couch and rug in the family room were dirty and all the plants were dead. We had not pots or tea kettle to make hot water or cook with. A toaster oven would be a great addition too.”

“Found three roaches upon check in. Musky, mildew smell all throughout. Mold in the floor under the AC. Hot, because one small unit is in the living room to cool the entire place. Dust everywhere. Dusty vents. Stains on surfaces. Police sirens and trains all night. Couldn’t wait to leave. Left after waking up the first morning. Ate the cost of the second night and went to Hampton Inn. Much happier there.”

“Wendy was super responsive and very helpful. I never had to wait more than 20 minutes or so from a response from her, in fact, it was often quick quicker than that. The only complaint I have is that they use a website to give you instructions for the rental that is outside of Airbnb. They also request that you pay a fee to check out late or to check in early, which I don’t believe is how Airbnb would want you to pay, and that was not communicated upfront in the rules of the house. She did offer us a free late check out because the address on their website had a broken link and it sent me to a location all the way out on Lake Murray. The home also wasn’t in the best part of town, but that was on me and I could’ve seen that before renting the unit. Overall, give Wendy as a host five stars! She was very pleasant and friendly.”

“Overall it was a great stay with a convenient and safe location. We truly enjoyed the hot tub as well. With the hot tub being a center point of the stay, the backyard outside area could have been better managed by spraying down the outdoor furniture and cleaning the hammock for use. The only bathroom being downstairs was slightly inconvenient when having to go in the middle of the night with the bedroom upstairs. The process to check in early was a bit frustrating and ended up not working out. However, overall it was a nice stay and very convenient for the event we attended at The Senate venue.”
