“This place had an okay location, parking lot is tight. It needs a good deep clean. It hasn’t been dusted in ages, floors were dirty, tub didn’t drain while showering, the other shower was dirty. I had to move the couch as my credit card fell inside down to the floor, there is all kinds of wrappers and garbage under the couch, not to mention dirt. I have video and photos of the filth. They need to hire a crew to go in and spend an entire day cleaning.”

“Potential renter be aware. The views shown and described at this location are completely inaccurate. It may have had this view 5-7 years ago, but the mountain view depicted and stated on the images/description is covered by a wall of trees right off the balcony. If your expectation is to come to the mountains to see mountains, then spend your hard earned money elsewhere.”

“We were very happy with our stay! The cabin is nice and has a good layout. We loved the big deck and hot tub. The kids enjoyed the board and video games provided. The owners were extremely responsive. Our AC didn’t appear to be working when we got in but they had someone out within the hour to fix it. We had no troubles from then on! The only reason for a deducted star is the cleanliness could be improved in the lesser used areas. Overall, we were happy with the stay!”

“The cabin was clean, peaceful, and secluded, making for a relaxing getaway. The hosts communicated well and were helpful when we discovered the cable wasn’t working upon arrival. They walked us through troubleshooting and helped get it working. There were a couple of drawbacks: the cabin had a strong cat urine odor, and despite the listing stating “mountain views,” there really wasn’t a mountain view from the cabin. The hosts did try to address the odor, but we were away when the cleaner came and couldn’t have them enter because we didn’t have a dog crate. This requirement wasn’t mentioned in any of the Airbnb communication beforehand. Overall, we enjoyed the peaceful setting and appreciated the hosts’ communication.”

“Great, cost effective place to stay. Came with everything we needed to shower, eat and rest after some good mountain hiking. Forest views from the balcony and an nice little walk around the complex leads to some wonderful mountain views. Only issue is that were some old stains on the box spring mattress cover and it looks like the bed frame hasnt been wiped down in awhile. Also the TV is not a smart TV so you can only watch cable on it and when we got there it was set to spanish (which we managed to fix). Certainly didnt stop me from getting a good nights sleep but an easy fix to go from a 4 star stay to a 5 star stay. Short drive to GSMNP and the drive up the hill was easy in my challenger.”

“The place was the perfect size for two people! The view was beautiful, though some of it was slightly obscured by tall trees so the view was basically cut in half due to the tree. The drive up the mountain was fun and easy. The only thing I didn’t fully enjoy about my stay was there was no comfortable place to sleep. The bed was incredibly hard and one of the pull outs was broken. Overall, a good experience!”

“The house was nice location was great the outside could use some TLC needs new mattress you end up in the middle of the bed but all in all it was good”

“Pros: the room was very clean, the decor was tasteful, the beds were comfy, and the bunk beds were perfect for our two little ones. cons: there is nowhere to put your clothes, no dressers, or hangers in the closet, we had to live out of our suitcase which is not ideal. The parking was advertised as 2 spots per unit, but failed to tell you they may be at the bottom of the hill by the pool, this is unacceptable especially when you have 2 little ones that are sleeping and you have to carry them up a steep hill. The pool was dirty, and the hot tub didn't have an option to turn on or change the temperature, it was just like getting in a bathtub. The first night we had neighbors who were smoking weed, that we could smell through our room, which was upsetting considering we have a special needs child with airway disease. The refrigerator was also not very cold, and the freezer did not freeze, we tried to freeze our water bottles to take to the pool and it did nothing overnight.”

“Unfortunately, this was our worst vacation rental experience. We were switched to a different cabin at the last minute and arrived to find it in unacceptable condition. The cabin had clearly not been properly cleaned-dirty sheets, unswept floors, dirty shower curtains, cobwebs, and items left behind by previous guests. We were expected to have maintenance & housekeeping come into the cabin during our stay to fix issues that should’ve been addressed before arrival. We were traveling with small children and did not feel comfortable having unfamiliar people coming in and out of the cabin during our vacation. We were also very concerned about safety. The front door was unlocked when we arrived, & one of the balcony door handles was broken. Although we were offered the option to cancel, we were notified only about a day & a half before check in over 4th July weekend, making it nearly impossible to find another cabin on such short notice. The compensation didn’t reflect the extent of issues.”

“Take your money somewhere else! Cabin is old, not maintained and rarely cleaned in detail. The AC was left off so it was 88 degrees when we checked in, and it took until the middle of the night to cool. It was full of cobwebs and bugs, the ice trays had mold. No extra bedding and no bedding for the sofa beds. Guest services was not helpful and argued with my claims/issues. They told me they would give me $70 back for my troubles. Don’t stay here and don’t rent through Jackson Rentals.”
