Jackson Mountain Rentals
4.50Visit website
Jackson Mountain Rentals's guest rating of 4.50 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Pros: the room was very clean, the decor was tasteful, the beds were comfy, and the bunk beds were perfect for our two little ones. cons: there is nowhere to put your clothes, no dressers, or hangers in the closet, we had to live out of our suitcase which is not ideal. The parking was advertised as 2 spots per unit, but failed to tell you they may be at the bottom of the hill by the pool, this is unacceptable especially when you have 2 little ones that are sleeping and you have to carry them up a steep hill. The pool was dirty, and the hot tub didn't have an option to turn on or change the temperature, it was just like getting in a bathtub. The first night we had neighbors who were smoking weed, that we could smell through our room, which was upsetting considering we have a special needs child with airway disease. The refrigerator was also not very cold, and the freezer did not freeze, we tried to freeze our water bottles to take to the pool and it did nothing overnight.”airbnb

“Unfortunately, this was our worst vacation rental experience. We were switched to a different cabin at the last minute and arrived to find it in unacceptable condition. The cabin had clearly not been properly cleaned-dirty sheets, unswept floors, dirty shower curtains, cobwebs, and items left behind by previous guests. We were expected to have maintenance & housekeeping come into the cabin during our stay to fix issues that should’ve been addressed before arrival. We were traveling with small children and did not feel comfortable having unfamiliar people coming in and out of the cabin during our vacation. We were also very concerned about safety. The front door was unlocked when we arrived, & one of the balcony door handles was broken. Although we were offered the option to cancel, we were notified only about a day & a half before check in over 4th July weekend, making it nearly impossible to find another cabin on such short notice. The compensation didn’t reflect the extent of issues.”airbnb

“Was exactly like what was pictured and listed. Just whoever they use for cleaning services are not doing a good job.”airbnb

“House was a little tricky to find, I did see the house has some poor reviews but booking last minute in the holiday there was not much choice for lake property. The yard and trail to the lake were not maintained. There was garbage left behind that an animal had gotten into, there was some trash going down to dock and at dock. DO NOT recommend for anyone with small children or elderly as the unmaintained path to lake is quit the hike down with ruts and sticks needing to be cleared. Then there is the dock that has a massive drop off to the ground since it did not go all the way to the lake. The jet ski dock is not maintained and the rollers are not in proper working order. The kitchen facet needs replaced as it sprays water everywhere. We had an unknown boat parked at our private dock that seemed to belong to the house across from us. Also on checkout instruction we were asked to take all trash with us, crazy!! We made it work for the weekend but would not return.”airbnb

“Take your money somewhere else! Cabin is old, not maintained and rarely cleaned in detail. The AC was left off so it was 88 degrees when we checked in, and it took until the middle of the night to cool. It was full of cobwebs and bugs, the ice trays had mold. No extra bedding and no bedding for the sofa beds. Guest services was not helpful and argued with my claims/issues. They told me they would give me $70 back for my troubles. Don’t stay here and don’t rent through Jackson Rentals.”airbnb

“It’s a shame because it really is a nice little place, but they really need to get the hot water taken care of just like other reviews said.”airbnb

“Essentially it was a hotel without someone coming to clean your room each day. The Airbnb is not fully stocked, and there was no cleaning supplies like a broom or vaccuum so we were just stuck whenever we wanted to tidy up. For the amount of paperwork you have to fill out when you book, you would think it was be stocked and have everything you need (except food) but that’s not the case. It met our needs but couldn’t have been a more pleasant experience”airbnb

“It is a cool little cabin on a creek with an awesome deck and screened in patio. The cabin was clean. Unfortunately on our arrival we turned the hot water on to wash our hands and were greeted with the most unpleasant odor. The hot water smelled like sulfur/sewage. It was so foul we had to open up every window and turn every fan on and let the hot water run to empty out the tank and hopefully flush away whatever caused that smell. We ran the water for quite a while and it did get better but it still had a bad smell to it during our stay. It was not pleasant at all to shower in. The listing says it has pots and pans available. We tried to use the oven our first night and there were no pans to put anything in the oven on. When we contacted the host about the issues we were told they would “consider” a water treatment in the future but for now that’s just how the water is. They also said they would not bring a pan for use as there are pans in there already…for use on the stove.”airbnb

“said they were getting place ready, walked into dead ants all over floors, no dustpan had to ask for one, so how did they get it ready for us? woke up to cockroaches several days they sent exterminator but still woke up to them, and they did not offer us another building. electrical outlets that didnt work called about them messaged me back said they sent someone to fix them only to come back to them not being fixed. read reviews more only to find out thwy had electrical issues in previous years so def still not fixed. spent over 5,000 on this to throw out half our opened food not knowing if cockroaches went in them. wrote them asking for a partial refund and they will only give me 300 back. needless to say we also went back home a day early because we had enough. building was very beautiful like pictures to bad they cant hire people who actually clean it luke they said. also garbage was left from previous stay had to message them on that too. again confirms they didnt not have ready”airbnb

“TERRIBLE STAY. The house itself was generally fine. It could have used a bit more kitchen equipment for cooking, but we could have lived with all of that. What was terrible was the support of the issues we encountered during our stay. We had a snake in the cabin, not their issue exactly but when I called asking for support they told me to call animal control (which was closed, that’s beside the point). They called me at 640am the next day asking if we removed the snake!? There is a horrible sulfur smell in tb master bathroom and we called regarding that, they never sent anyone but then called the next day to tell me someone stopped by and said it was fine. Ironically, someone was at the cabin the entire day and no one showed up. Be cautious of renting with this company, should you need support they will not be there for you!”airbnb
