Jackson Mountain Rentals
4.51Visit website
Jackson Mountain Rentals's guest rating of 4.51 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Essentially it was a hotel without someone coming to clean your room each day. The Airbnb is not fully stocked, and there was no cleaning supplies like a broom or vaccuum so we were just stuck whenever we wanted to tidy up. For the amount of paperwork you have to fill out when you book, you would think it was be stocked and have everything you need (except food) but that’s not the case. It met our needs but couldn’t have been a more pleasant experience”airbnb

“It’s a shame because it really is a nice little place, but they really need to get the hot water taken care of just like other reviews said.”airbnb

“It is a cool little cabin on a creek with an awesome deck and screened in patio. The cabin was clean. Unfortunately on our arrival we turned the hot water on to wash our hands and were greeted with the most unpleasant odor. The hot water smelled like sulfur/sewage. It was so foul we had to open up every window and turn every fan on and let the hot water run to empty out the tank and hopefully flush away whatever caused that smell. We ran the water for quite a while and it did get better but it still had a bad smell to it during our stay. It was not pleasant at all to shower in. The listing says it has pots and pans available. We tried to use the oven our first night and there were no pans to put anything in the oven on. When we contacted the host about the issues we were told they would “consider” a water treatment in the future but for now that’s just how the water is. They also said they would not bring a pan for use as there are pans in there already…for use on the stove.”airbnb

“Please book through Jackson Mountain Rentals as this Airbnb listing is inaccurate. It is also missing details (like that they only provide toilet paper for 24 hours) that are only accessible through their guest portal. We would not have chosen this listing if we’d had all the facts upfront. If the renter knows what to bring before booking, this is not a big deal.”airbnb

“said they were getting place ready, walked into dead ants all over floors, no dustpan had to ask for one, so how did they get it ready for us? woke up to cockroaches several days they sent exterminator but still woke up to them, and they did not offer us another building. electrical outlets that didnt work called about them messaged me back said they sent someone to fix them only to come back to them not being fixed. read reviews more only to find out thwy had electrical issues in previous years so def still not fixed. spent over 5,000 on this to throw out half our opened food not knowing if cockroaches went in them. wrote them asking for a partial refund and they will only give me 300 back. needless to say we also went back home a day early because we had enough. building was very beautiful like pictures to bad they cant hire people who actually clean it luke they said. also garbage was left from previous stay had to message them on that too. again confirms they didnt not have ready”airbnb

“The cabin was gorgeous but found roaches in the clock of the stove and had an extremely hard time working with the host to get this fixed. I would’ve preferred to have been moved to a different property, but they insisted they do not do that if there’s only “one or two roaches”, even though there were babies too. The host sent out a pest control company in the morning, who only sprayed behind the stove and the fridge and then left. The host then contacted me and said the problem had been fixed and that they would only reimburse 20% of one night for the inconvenience, totaling about $45. Had to fight with them multiple times a day every day we were there to get a bigger reimbursement. Which only happened when I told them I had video evidence. They still only reimbursed roughly 1 day without fees. Very disappointing company to work with. Would rent this particular cabin again only if it was owned by somebody else.”airbnb

“Overall it was a good place. Good sized unit, plenty of room for family with 4 kids. Listing said upgraded unit, but you wouldn’t know that looking around. Somewhat worn in areas (floors, baseboards, etc.). Indoor pool was small but a big hit. No towels when we arrived, called host but they couldn’t deliver until the next day, which was disappointing. (Even then, delivered after their specified time.)”airbnb

“The management company was responsive, but unfortunately most issues were never fully resolved. We had no true hot water the entire stay, only cold to lukewarm, even after a repair visit, which made showers very difficult for our group. The hot tub was unsafe to use due to lack of proper chlorine levels. Several amenities were broken, including the steam shower with a missing knob and broken mirror, making it unusable. No fireplaces worked. No highchair even though it was in photos. When asked where it was, I was pretty much ignored. The biggest issue was ants, an excessive infestation in tub drains, cabinets, counters, and even on furniture. Despite treatment, it persisted. With a large group, relocating was not feasible. We stored all food in bins due to no pantry being available. The beds were also very uncomfortable, lumpy and caved in. Overall, a very disappointing stay and poor follow through by management. I would never rent from this company again.”airbnb

“We really enjoyed our stay overall and appreciated the location and time we got to spend there. We loved our trip and would definitely stay there again. We just wanted to share a few concerns to help with future improvements for guests. When we arrived, the cleaning crew was still there even though we arrived an hour after check-in time. Once we got settled in, it became clear that the unit had not been cleaned very thoroughly. The shower, kitchen, faucets, and furniture all appeared dirty. We even found scum buildup on the shower head, which was pretty concerning. We also found dirty underwear left behind in the unit, which made us question how well the space had been cleaned before our arrival. The kitchen was also lacking a lot of basic cooking utensils, so we had to go out and buy things ourselves. On top of that, the locks throughout the house were very difficult to use and several of us got stuck in the main bathroom multiple times. Overall, we still had a great trip.”airbnb

“TERRIBLE STAY. The house itself was generally fine. It could have used a bit more kitchen equipment for cooking, but we could have lived with all of that. What was terrible was the support of the issues we encountered during our stay. We had a snake in the cabin, not their issue exactly but when I called asking for support they told me to call animal control (which was closed, that’s beside the point). They called me at 640am the next day asking if we removed the snake!? There is a horrible sulfur smell in tb master bathroom and we called regarding that, they never sent anyone but then called the next day to tell me someone stopped by and said it was fine. Ironically, someone was at the cabin the entire day and no one showed up. Be cautious of renting with this company, should you need support they will not be there for you!”airbnb
