The cabin had plenty of room for our family of 5. We loved the hot tub. The location on the lake was also great. It was in a finger so it was calm enough to swim in and very private which we loved. LThe rocky path from the house to the dock was very steep. I feel some of it could have been cleaned better before we arrived. It was nice to have some dish soap, soap in each bathroom, paper towels and TP provided.

Be wary that the pics make it look like the lake is close but it is a pretty steep gravel trail to get to it. Kitchen had mouse poop and the kitchen table is extremely sticky even after washing it several times.

We stayed at "Reel It In" for a family reunion. This was our secondary location due to the great number of people at the reunion. We mostly spent later evenings and early mornings at the house and were away for the day time. There were lots of beds and easily accommodated our size. We were also thankful for the price of the rental since it was very moderately priced. The kids really enjoyed the game room and were excited to spend time together there. While we were notified ahead of time that there would only be a 24 hr supply of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, and garbage bags, I believe it would make a huge difference to guests to be able to have a full supply that would last at least most of the stay rather than have to go out and purchase these items ourselves. Additionally, it would be nice to have a towel for each bed/sleeper as we were short a few. All in all we were happy with our stay and would recommend to big groups of people looking for a place at Douglas Lake.

Our stay was lovely. The house is clean and inviting. We stayed outside under the shelter by the lake. Very private and peaceful. Can’t wait to come again!

House was a little tricky to find, I did see the house has some poor reviews but booking last minute in the holiday there was not much choice for lake property. The yard and trail to the lake were not maintained. There was garbage left behind that an animal had gotten into, there was some trash going down to dock and at dock. DO NOT recommend for anyone with small children or elderly as the unmaintained path to lake is quit the hike down with ruts and sticks needing to be cleared. Then there is the dock that has a massive drop off to the ground since it did not go all the way to the lake. The jet ski dock is not maintained and the rollers are not in proper working order. The kitchen facet needs replaced as it sprays water everywhere. We had an unknown boat parked at our private dock that seemed to belong to the house across from us. Also on checkout instruction we were asked to take all trash with us, crazy!! We made it work for the weekend but would not return.
