Haven Vacation Rentals

Haven Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.80 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

A very nice place but lots of confusion when things could not be found. We asked for more kitchen towels but never got any. We ended up using hand towels from a bathroom. Access to the pool did not work which was a big disappointment as the grandkids were there and it was the reason we booked the place we did. It was corrected but more than half way through our stay. Also for those staying there is a fee to use the pool 15$ per adult and 10$ per child per visit. Not very affordable when there our 11 people in our party and with young kids only staying there for short periods of time.

View is beautiful, House is beautiful. Hosts responsive- but not super helpful. Sent us 2 mini fridges for 9 people to use instead of sending out someone to fix refrigerator. Causing us to loose some food. Working on refund at this time. I contacted over a week before stay to make sure ALL amenities worked because of previous review. Only 1 or 2 lights hanging under decking worked out of 100s. Gutter almost falling off back of house, door handles almost off, vents pulled out outside causing animal in wall- Noises of scratching heard. Maintenance is much much needed on this “Luxury” stay. Dog hair was on couch ( not suppose to be pet friendly) and crumbs and food from previous renters was on ground when arrived. The rugs were filthy and bedsheets didn’t fit. 2 TVs worked intermittently. Overall we would not take another chance on this house. Cleanliness was a factor and the loss of a major amenity was the pitfall. We had togetherness of my family which was the best part of this stay.

The home itself was beautiful & clean. However, there were several issues. These are just a few since I’m limited. We could not locate the advertised fire extinguisher. The kitchen had only 1 towel & no cleaning supplies. A small trial-size dish soap & Two paper towel rolls were provided, but basic items like all-purpose cleaner, wipes, & extra kitchen towels would have been helpful. The biggest issue was losing hot water for 3 days. The host was initially responsive & sent maintenance, but after promising further updates, with still no hot water, no follow-up was ever provided. This significantly impacted our group of 10, affecting showers after long days on the lake, dishwashing, & laundry. We ultimately had to involve Airbnb support. We understood lake levels could affect dock/slide use, we were there at 5ft below summer pool, & barely was able to use the edge of the dock, but the area had lots of rotten boards & the access road was severely washed out & not drivable.

During our five-day stay, several significant maintenance and service issues were not adequately addressed. The hot tub was nonfunctional for the duration of our visit, and despite notifying the host, no effective repairs were made and the damaged cover was not replaced to retain heat. Additionally, the internet router repeatedly shorted out and was neither repaired nor replaced, resulting in unreliable connectivity throughout our stay. Communication regarding both issues was minimal, with little to no updates provided over multiple days. There were also additional maintenance concerns within the cabin, including flickering bathroom lights, a leaking shower, and overall upkeep issues that did not align with the price paid for the property. Given the number of unresolved problems and the impact they had on our experience, we do not feel the accommodation reflected the value advertised.

Very nice home overall just wished there was more of a deep cleaning, very dusty in the stairwells and the windowsills and just felt like it had been empty for a while so it needed a deep cleaning. Also needs to make sure the appliances such as the coffee machines are cleaned and de-scaled anterior water tank was dirty, so glad I cleaned it before using it -and the descaling lights was on.

Had plumbing issue at check in, host did not give updates on getting issue resolved. Needs maintenance on flooring and furniture (living room chair broken and stains on sofa), no steps available to get into hot tub. Neighborhood was nice, quite and peaceful.

The location was perfect for going back and forth to town. Only minutes away from everything in pigeon forge. I wouldn’t recommend staying here because everything was dirty. I had to re wash all sheets, towels, dishes, clean the tub/ shower , and sweep the floors once I arrived. I’m not a clean freak but I could visibly see dirt and hair all over everything and food on the dishes that were put away. To me the room being clean is my biggest concern and since it wasn’t I wish I would have just stayed in a hotel room and saved some money.

Smelly, scary driveway, no view, surrounded by woods. Cigarette burns on pillows and couch.

The house is beautiful, but that’s where the positives end. The spiral stairs felt unsafe, the bathtub wasn’t clean, and only one of three showers worked, very difficult for a family of eight. Despite a no-smoking policy, there were cigarette butts everywhere and broken glass near the entrance. The alarm system beeped nonstop after night two, and the front door wouldn’t stay locked, which scared my kids. The driveway is dangerous and not suitable for larger vehicles, which wasn’t disclosed. Daily construction blocked access most mornings, causing us to miss non-refundable reservations and lose thousands. The “walkable” lake and waterslide are completely misleading. The lake was dry, the trail is steep and unsafe, and the fridge photos misrepresent it. We were told to drive, but the road is badly washed out only an ATV could manage it. Hosts responded but never resolved anything. Location was also misrepresented everything is far away. I would never stay here again.

We recently stayed at this property with our family and had a disappointing experience. Upon arrival, we found the downstairs door had broken glass, would not lock, and there was glass on the floor, this was a serious safety concern and was not disclosed, even though the owners were aware. While using the upstairs bathroom, water leaked into the kitchen below and pooled on the floor. We had to place a trash can to catch it. Communication was poor, and the owners were not very responsive. The only solution offered was a full refund if we left, which was not realistic since we were already there from out of state late at night. To make matters worse, no partial refund or compensation was offered despite the multiple issues and inconvenience. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations in terms of safety, transparency, and customer service. I would strongly encourage future guests to confirm the condition of the property before booking.
