Other than the AC not working well during our trip and the beds being incredibly uncomfortable, we were very happy with our stay. We reached out about the temperature three times before we got an answer and then the gentleman that came basically told us there was nothing he could do about it and we had to deal with it.

This location is perfect. Can walk to the beach and has any kind of food you would like nearby. The actual space is in need of upgrades. The bathroom exhausts were extremely loud. The floors were sandy when we arrived. Yes the contractor states they can’t account for construction etc… but we were not told the pool was closed before booking.

The drive way is not finished. Can only park one car off street. The owner has a place attached to this place, so they might be there while you’re there. I don’t have a problem with this, but when they start telling you how to do things in the rental….which did happen at this time. Place is very good. Hardwood floors throughout. A/c worked well. Kitchen utensils and supplies were good also.

We have stayed at Spanish Main before so we were familiar with the complex. Finding our unit was not as easy task but once we found it, getting into the unit was easy. Pro: 1)both bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms. 2)Fully equipped kitchen 3)laundry detergent, dish soap and dishwasher soaps provided 4) easy location to navigate 5) Dollar General, Publix nearby 6) very nice breakfast/coffee shop within walking distance. Con: 1) floors were dirty. My feet were filthy after walking in the unit. 2) toaster didn’t work 3) communication was lacking. I had messaged the owner through AirBnb 4-5 days before arrival, asking what type of coffee pot the unit had and if there was a mixer. I received no response.

The biggest issue was the lack of professionalism and communication regarding our stay extension. We were offered and subsequently confirmed an additional day at the property, only to later learn that the extension was no longer available. We were not informed of this and only found out when I followed up to confirm arrangements. The property itself also had several issues. The mattresses were extremely soft and uncomfortable. 2 of 3 bedrooms had lifted flooring panels that created a safety hazard, particularly for our infant who is walking. Our child tripped multiple times because of the raised flooring, making those rooms concerning to use. Additionally, there was a bug problem in one of the bathrooms that made the bathtub unusable for bathing our infant, creating a significant inconvenience during our stay. Previous guests had not taken out the recycling, leaving the recycling full and unusable.

2-parts! First the unit and surrounding area were as advertised, great views and beach access. Our only issue with the facility was the noise from the walkway that is directly behind the master bedroom/bed. Second, biggest problem was that our check-in instructions didn’t include the code to access the unit. So when we arrived after several travel delays at 430am and my family was stranded. And at that hour we couldn’t contact anyone even when we attempted to call the after hours line the very nice woman who was answering our call was not able to get a response. Eventually after approx 1.5 hours of trying to sleep in a vehicle with our kids we got a message through the Airbnb app. Worse part was we were supposed to be at a wedding 4.5 hours later. I did eventually get the full list of check-in/out instructions via email approx a day and a half after our reservation began. And, as far as I was concerned no attempt was ever really made to make it right.

We reserved this property for a group of 10 people expecting to stay together, but upon arrival we discovered that the accommodation consists of three separate units, each accommodating about four people, with no internal connection between them. Since our group traveled from different states specifically to spend time together, this setup was very disappointing and was not clearly communicated. Another issue was the lack of basic supplies. There was not enough shampoo and other essential toiletries provided across all three units. Additionally, the overall cleanliness was below expectations. Several pieces of furniture appeared dirty and had stains, making the property feel poorly maintained. The most concerning issue occurred during our stay when someone unexpectedly entered the property. We later learned that the home had apparently been double-booked, which was both uncomfortable and disruptive. The only positive aspect of this property was its convenient beach access, which was

I typically don’t leave lengthy reviews, but write here because of misrepresentations I saw in previous responses to reviews. If you, like me, chose to stay because you think they resolved the issues, that’s unfortunately not true. I saw a prior review pointing out issues with the beds that HP claimed to have fixed. This is inaccurate. One of the beds was wholly unusable, as it had a very clear divot in the center that made it incredibly uncomfortable to sleep in. Obvious from the bed that this was because it’s a kind bed placed on top of two twin frames. They tried to fix with a mattress topper, which we explained didn’t address the issue. The fridge was broken. They didn’t respond to fix for almost two days. Then they had a tech come by to “verify” our complaint was true. The fridge was never fixed, and only due to complaints did they give us a mini fridge for the remainder of the long stay. Responses to questions during our stay were slow. Considering price, not good.

Walked in for check in first think you see is a refrigerator that look like it got hit in a hail storm. Next thing we noticed it was 83° trying to turn on the AC. Nothing worked contacted host that sent me instructions on how to turn it off and back on was told to call her back if that didn’t work called no answer. Had to send off a few text messages and find another phone number to call. Had to cancel my reservation. Four hours later. Some maintenance guy called me. Terrible deal would never stay at anything to do with the host again.

The house itself is beautiful and I’m sure if everything worked it would have been a different experience. We had no hot water the entire stay so lovely cold showers 🤔 There was no propane therefore neither the hot tub or grill worked along with the hot water. Had been told once Sunday it would be fixed it’s Thursday still not fixed. Fridge in the house didn’t work. Compressor is out is what we were told. Luckily there’s a fridge in the garage but it was dirty and gross. There is two wine coolers neither work so the only option to keep anything cold is the fridge in the garage. It rained multiple days and there was water coming through the bedroom window onto the bed in the middle of the night 😳 The host supposedly refunded our stay. Haven’t received the money yet. But also stated they were bringing us a gift card for dinner for the inconvenience that never happened. Hopefully they get this fixed before anyone else stays there
