Enjoy Unique Stays

Enjoy Unique Stays's guest rating of 4.80 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

We booked this stay for about a month. Let's start with the not-so-important part, the 3 tv's didn't work, they required a code and the host had no solution. Terrible host company, providing no solution to a problem. We had to leave after the 3rd night. Why? This place is *INFESTED* with **German cockroaches**. By time we left we had physically killed around 300 roaches and we ordered roach killer bait from amazon but it was just to much. There were ao many roaches and so many roach feces. The host ended up calling a pest management company to bait and spray the home after a complaint to the host and to Airbnb. This required us to leave for a minimum of 3 days. They offered to invite us back after the 3 days needed for roach treatment, after providing a home that was a health hazard and interrupting our vacation. To be clear, having a roach infestation is a blatant violation of Airbnb's "ground rules". This was not a new infestation, it was clearly infested for months or longer

Beautiful house. Nice view. Responsive host. But too many problems! Before booking, I asked if there was a bed and bath on main level with the kitchen and living room for handicapped grandma. Host said just a couple of steps to get into the house and then yes that would all be on one level. Bedrooms on levels 0, 1, and 3. Living area w NO bath on level 2. 6-8 steps per level. Very hard for grandma. Mistaken? Deceptive? It seems like they have never stayed in this house and don’t have a checklist. Broken bed frame, missing tips on pool cues, dirty hot tub, broken sauna, 6/8 chairs around fire pit were broken, floor lamp switch broken, basement shower drain loose/hazardous, A/C in main bedroom dripped beside bed, burnt out lightbulbs, poor lighting in general, no curtains in living room making glare on TV, dining chairs so uncomfortable no one could bear to sit and play games, utensil handles so skinny they fell through the bottom of the D/W basket. WiFi instructions wrong. Frustrating!

We were very disappointed when we pulled in with the care of the outside of the house. We had to be tree, branches and bushes to get to the door. When getting into the house that was a smoke odor through the house the carpets were dirty. They towel in the main bathroom were all loose when you walked on that crunched and the door knob on the master bath kept falling off. The barn door to the bathroom would not stay shot. The smoke was the worst and the carpets need clean.

This host gives Airbnb's a bad name. Will not stay here again or with this host in their other locations. Previous reviews showed problems with the king bed and the water. The bed broke during our stay, they promised to come and fix and did not. Water tastes and smells like sulfur and metals. The air/heat does not work properly, some bedrooms are very cold, others warm during summer. Do not come on extreme hot or cold days. They have a weed garden (no kidding) along the front porch so you can enjoy the pollen while sitting on the porch. Bad for allergies and those with breathing issues.

The cabin is a cute cabin, however it was infested with roaches. We checked in late at night and immediately packed up and left the next morning when we noticed the kitchen was infested with roaches. We called to report it and we were told they would send out an exterminator and we could go back. No, thanks. Then I would get to stay with dead roaches. I asked them to either find another location or give me a refund. Their response was that they would look into it and give me a call back by 10:30 AM. I ended up emailing them, no response. I called them at 12:15 and was told "I was just about to call you". They did not off another location and still charged us for the night that we stayed, $350. I would definitely NOT recommend Enjoy Unique Stays.

When we arrived we couldn’t find the place because every cabin had a car at it like it was occupied so we couldn’t find our cabin for 30 minutes. We knocked on the door and the house cleaners were watching tv at 12:30 am in the morning, which is the time we arrived. And the floors were so strong with bleach smell where they had just mopped and floors were wet. Also the hot tub was cold because they had just drained the water. Honestly who cleans rooms at midnight and drains the hot tub, so the water was only 86F.

AVOID this property and management company. Our check-in was delayed due to maintenance & cleaning issues, which was a red flag. When we arrived, one shower handle was completely detached & sitting in the tub, the other shower had almost no water pressure, the sinks only produced a trickle of water, and one toilet rarely flushed. We repeatedly reported the issues & were told the matter was “urgent” and had been escalated, but nothing meaningful was done. After requesting a refund, we were told their team would discuss it & then never received a response. A maintenance worker showed up the night before check out at 9 PM without any notice from the host & didn’t even address majority of the issues. 7 adults should not have to struggle to shower, brush their teeth, or use a working bathroom in a paid vacation rental. Poor communication, unresolved plumbing problems, and a complete lack of accountability. This listing needs to be removed. Shame on this company for still accepting bookings.

★★☆☆☆ The tiny home itself is cute, but unfortunately this was not the relaxing stay we were hoping for. The property is more a corporate rental operation than a hosted Airbnb experience. All airbnb communication was clearly automated/chat bot messages, rules posted throughout the cabin, and important info such as check-in/check-out procedures not being clearly communicated. There were several maintenance and setup issues during our stay. An upstairs TV had not been properly set up and required us to spend time registering and configuring it ourselves. A blue light in the bedroom closet and the bright AC display made it difficult to keep the bedroom dark at night. The bedroom light and fan also unexpectedly turned on by themselves early in the morning, waking us up. The cabin could also use additional towel storage, especially for groups using the hot tub. On top of that, confusion around the property's time zone made checkout more stressful than it needed to be.
