“Twin beds need new mattresses and the hand rail on the steps to the beach needs repair as one person cut their arm. The location was awesome. They only supplied one towel, wash rag, and hand towel per person for a whole week. Overall we had a great stay.”

“FIRE TRAP Anyone who rents this Unit needs to be well aware that the DRYER does not work (*and has not/and is not unit shown in condo photos) and there is NO VENTING...FIRE MARSHALL ADVISED, AS FLOORS IN BEDROOM BECAME BURNING HOT UPON USE, WHICH WAS OKAY'D BY DISTINCTIVE BEACH RENTALS...Also, greeted by ROACHES, And just for added fun the UPSTAIRS bathroom will SOON be in the DOWNSTAIRS dining room... Hey, but VIEW IS GREAT...for $2200”

“Great location. Small broad walk in the court which leads directly to beach. Very convenient! The only negative was the lack of dish soap, laundry soap, TP paper, towels. Note: There are things I guess that are not included.”

“The place is nice, just no beach towels and beach equipment left for you to use is moldy and dirty. Asked for it to be removed as mold is not safe for anyone, distinctive beach rentals said they couldnt even after I sent pictures. We were greated by other owners that gave us the rules as if we were going party and destroy the place. Pool was ok not much to do . We stayed at ocean hammock the last time in cinnamon beach . Much nicer air bnb . On the beach so it was more of a vacation. Same price . So I would not stay here again .”

“I had to leave shortly after arrival due to a safety issue—the door lock did not work from either the inside or outside, so the unit could not be secured. I contacted the host immediately and followed up asking for a timeline, but did not receive one. Because I did not feel safe staying, I had to escalate the issue to Airbnb and make alternative arrangements that same evening. The host did ultimately provide a refund, which I appreciate, but a functioning lock is a basic safety requirement and this should be addressed before future guests arrive.”

“The house could use a little maintenance. It also seemed a bit smaller than what the pictures showed. Beautiful courtyard and beach view! Not commercialized and not many people. Enjoyed the chlorine pool. It was so nice to relax and enjoy the sunrise views! The only real complaint I’d have is that I asked for a later check out for an additional fee and they wouldn’t offer it to me even though they advertised that.”

“Overall, fine stay. Location 10/10. 1. Home is bare bones. Had to purchase basics ie: toilet paper, paper towels, salt and pepper, cooking oil, hand soap, detergent, etc. Really adds up for a short weekend stay and we left all of those items behind. Host should allow guests to benefit from leftover supplies instead of cleaning everything out between each stay. 2. Home managed as a private beach rental outside of Airbnb. Required to sign a lengthy contract and use a separate portal for access, which took away from the whole point of Airbnb. 3. Maintenance issues: master bdrm TV, sliding doors had security latches so couldn't use, refrigerator did not cool properly/inconsistent, trashcan drawer, tp holder. 4. Pool workers showed up unannounced Saturday morning - entered the space w/o warning, which was unsettling. They returned again later in the day w/o warning and required everyone to get out of the pool during peak afternoon hours, and we weren’t able to get back in for over an hour!”

“The location is absolutely amazing. Toes in the sand once you come down the stairs. One row of houses beachfront, that's it. It is worth it just for this! We enjoyed having 4 bedrooms, it fit our family well. So many windows facing the ocean in each room. It was a peaceful stay. The place was not very clean however, multiple roaches, even in kitchen bowls. They also only provide 1 roll of tp, one paper towel, one dish detergent, one trash bag, etc. For someone staying 8 days, it seems an easy courtesy to provide these things instead of asking guests to travel to the store mutiple times for these small amenities. I would stay again, but dissapointed with cleanliness.”

“We never stayed. We drove there around around 1130 to use the pool before check in, and it was completely in the shade. Didn't look like it was going to get sun until much later afternoon. Didn't come to Florida to sit in the shade. I guess we should have asked, but sure wish that would have been communicated in description.”

“Exterior maintenance was being performed on our section of the building. Per building mgmt. all owners were informed months ago but this unit's owners didn't inform their property management Co or note the listing. This involved jackhammers to remove failing concrete prior to painting the building and balconies from ground to the 14 fl. on both sides of us for 17 of our 30 day rental. Mechanical scaffolding up and down all day, workers climbing over onto the balcony to jackhammer concrete and then to paint. The beach wasn't doable with the extreme cold, many days we had to leave and find someplace to go. Building maintenance must be done, but we should have been informed to decide whether to pay $4200 to endure it. No vacation. I asked for financial compensation from Distinctive Beach Rentals and was given an arbitrary amount they determined, not fair agreed upon compensation. Lynda Mann communicated with me but deferred to her manager who didn't respond. A costly bad experience.”
