Carolina Breeze Vacations

Carolina Breeze Vacations's guest rating of 4.60 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Clean & spacious but needs some minor maintenance in and out including steps to front, and walkway near outdoor shower. Very slow response to questions and hard to communicate between app, text, and email. Recommend through app only for simplicity. No written instructions in house for TV or checkout expectations. Had plenty of kitchenware and nice appliances. Had some things not advertised but then no kitchen trash bags and expected us to buy. Not a typical Airbnb experience. The location was nice as it was between a beech access and the intracoastal waterway.”airbnb

“Nice house in a nice neighborhood close the beach and we loved the outdoor shower and backyard. But our sheets were full of sand in every room and some of the silverware had to be washed by hand as it was dirty.”airbnb

“Pot smoke I immediately called about and spoke with someone but nobody ever reached back out about it. People upstairs kept us and our kids up all night so we cut our trip short and came home”airbnb

“Overall the stay was nice, would we return…unfortunately not. Multiple ways we were told early check in would be texted if available, we were on the property (it was ocean front) from 2-4 and never seen a single person, so we had to wait for our check in time. Which is fine, had we not been told early check in was available. Once entering we found multiple (SIX) dead crunchy bugs in the floor. If they were alive it would have been understandable, they sent maintenance out to spray for said dead bugs at which point we were informed the house was not inspected as it should have failed inspection for us to enter the home. That just makes you question if the home was really cleaned or just made presentable. We reached out multiple times for this issue with no response, we ended up cleaning the floors ourselves as we had no other home to relocate to. We also had a “cleaning company” attempt to come to the property on our last day.”airbnb

“The neighborhood was peaceful. It had a nice little backyard. We would have liked to know that the pool and spa company was coming to take care of the hot tub to ensure we didn't have our dogs in the backyard and they wouldn't get out. Two people showed up and got stuff out of the front porch storage container one morning which startled us also. The bathroom is not child friendly as the latch was at the top of the door so my 9 year old daughter could not reach it. Not sure who stayed before us but the grill was not cleaned so we were unable to use it. Beds were comfortable. There was plenty of space for the 2 adults, 2 kids, and 2 dogs while we were there.”airbnb

“While the house and location are beautiful, management was a major disappointment. For the price, the cleanliness was unacceptable—the floors were filthy enough to turn our feet black, and there old grease all over the cabinets above the microwave. We also dealt with maintenance issues like a leaking shower, a broken outdoor shower, and damaged cookware; I even cut my hand on a broken handle in the bathroom. Communication was equally poor. My early check-in request was ignored, and when our entry code failed, it took 18 hours to get a response. I only got inside by calling and pretending to be an owner. Our checkout questions went unanswered as well. Despite the clean bedrooms, the lack of maintenance and terrible response times made this a frustrating stay. If I owned this house, I would fire the management team. Take some pride, do the maintenance, replace the loud bedframes, clean the house and response to guests. I would have reached out more, but there was very little response.”airbnb

“This place needs new management. I think people should know there is only 1 towel per person and it feels like sandpaper. No pool or beach towels. So be prepared to use your one towel for every and if you have long hair, don’t plan on wrapping your hair up, unless you want to freeze. The sheets are also very rough. My bed didn’t have a mattress pad, which is very unsanitary. I should also mention if you sleep in the queen bed, bring a blanket to hang over the window. There’s no blackout curtains, so the parking lot light will brighten up your room all night. This is the third unit my parents have stayed, in this condo complex and it was not top tier. Don’t be fooled by the pictures like me. A stay in a hotel would have been nicer. I can’t speak on how equipped the kitchen was, we ate out for all meals and it was delicious. I did reach out via message here, with no response. Then txt, only response “Thank you for reaching out. I will bring these concerns to the property manager.””airbnb

“Would not stay at this location or deal with the management of this property again. Refrigerator was broken and they responded three times that they were coming out to fix it and never did.”airbnb

“The house was disappointing overall. The condition of the kitchen was not what we expected, the cabinets were in poor shape, with chipped white laminate peeling off. They offer no cleaning supplies so you can’t clean counters or table tops Throw pillows and bed spread had dirt marks or stains Additionally, the ongoing beach construction should have been clearly communicated prior to booking. The work runs 24 hours a day, with constant noise from heavy machinery. On Saturday, the beach directly in front of the house was completely closed, which significantly impacted our stay.”airbnb

“Unfortunately, the property did not match what was presented. The primary issue was the absence of a hot tub, which was a key factor in our selection process and prominently featured in the original listing (including photos and descriptive text that has since been removed). We would not have chosen this place at all if we knew there was not a hot tub. Additional issues compounded the problem. • The home had not been thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival, with visible crumbs on the dining table and a strong odor that required us to purchase air fresheners. • The backyard was overgrown and had not been mowed for weeks (as confirmed by the lawn maintenance personnel), preventing us from using the fire pit for s’mores as we had planned. • The grill was covered in heavy grease and required nearly an hour of cleaning These discrepancies forced us to significantly adjust our vacation plans and spend considerable time addressing maintenance and cleanliness issues rather than relaxing.”airbnb
