“We arrived at the condo with clear and easy instruction to park and check in. We were even able to check in early. The condo was generally clean (bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen) however wool rug in living room was covered in sand and floors were sticky with a really bad sour smell. We were able to air out the condo and the smell did eventually go away. 2/3 beds were very comfortable. The back right bedroom needs a new mattress because you could hear the springs when sitting on it from the hallway. The balcony and view of this corner unit were incredible!! We actually stayed during the hurricane and felt very safe on the 10th floor. Elevators weren’t awful despite the fall break crowd and 2 being unavailable due to maintenance. I would note to make sure you bring trash bags and dish/laundry soap as they just provide 2 pods and 2 trash bags. Overall we had a great trip!”

“We went during Hurricane Isaias, even though we did not purchase travel insurance. (Because it was almost $400 more) I had hoped they would have offered some refund or some possibility of rescheduling. I had concerns of safety. They said that because it was not mandatory. It was a very scary experience. We didn’t want to loose the money we had worked hard to put towards vacation. So we went. Power went on and off all night Fri and Sat, building was moving. Water did not work when power was off. Overall the condo was beautiful, only issue with home was dirty floors. I mean literally dirty floors. Socks were black every day. And my bare feet dirty as if I had walking outside in the street all day. I sent a picture to them but they did not respond to it. I don’t know if I would come back to this place to rent, I heard so many other condos offered partial refunds for the safety boot their customers. Seems they wanted their money more than safety.”

“Wasn’t refunded total amount paid after being told to leave for hurricane for 2 nights, but room was nice and hosts were communicative.”

“Everything was as described, except the elevator condition. Everyone Had to wait long periods of time to access the elevators. 4 of the 8 elevators were not working. Had a problem with the air-conditioning but with prompt maintenance service it was resolved. I would recommend other than the elevator problem.”

“The location of the condo, the condo amenities, and nearby restaurants were great! The decor was themed well and the beach view and access were top notch! We did notice the age of condo and some wear and tear that could definitely be addressed to make the place feel 5 star again! We also felt like it wasn’t the cleanest when we arrived, but that could just be a one off experience for us! We did have to go buy several toiletries that we quickly ran out of, not an experience I’ve had at other Airbnbs, which have been a little more stocked than this one. Overall, we had a great time and the condo served its purpose as a gathering place for us as we ventured back and forth to the beach and local attractions.”

“Great location, most of the thing you need included (towels, soap, detergent,…) But all the dishes is not for using in the microwave and very cheap.”

“Unfortunately I cannot recommend this unit or condo complex to anyone. We had 3 units and 2 of the 3 were very unkept. Upon arrival, we noticed - The bottom bunk sheets had sand in them. - The kitchen trash can was dirty, and the floor in both the kitchen and bathroom was sticky. - The pantry shelves are broken. - The guest bathroom has a strong mold/mildew smell due to a moldy shower that needs to be cleaned. - There were no instructions for the TVs, making them very difficult to operate. - There was a piece between the fridge and cabinet that was wet and deteriorating - The washing machine quit mid cycle almost every time we used it and dryer blew a dreadful smell throughout - It smelled so moldy I was embarrassed when we had family come over - kitchen is lacking adequate supplies. The provided dish soap and trash bags will only last a day, and I have never had to purchase these items myself during previous Airbnb or VRBO stays By far the worst vacation unit we have had”

“We arrived Saturday and till we left horrible smell im bathroom, they removed toilette and plunged and still till we checked out. Also painters came in through balcony waking us up 730 am without notice even-though items outside showing occupied. We have a 5 year old and this was intrusion and unsafe for our child.”

“DO NOT STAY HERE! gold fish under sofa - No drinking water (had to go out and get water late at night) - Sheets were filthy (had to go to Walmart and buy new ones) - Pee and hair on the toilet - Unit smelt like mildew (had to go buy candle’s) - it was my best friends 30th birthday and we woke up on Saturday morning all stuffy and not feeling well - Tried to get ahold of someone to resolve issues and didn’t have someone try to resolve it until we were gone the next day - Had to get another hotel room at a high rate because of last min booking on a very high traffic weekend because of the fishing tournament. Asked for a refund for this terrible experience and was denied. Airbnb is now working to resolve my issue because Best Beach Getaways is awful at customer service and refusing to refund me for the issues as we did not stay in the unit and had to leave.”
