Villatel's guest rating of 4.74 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“The house was beautiful and the amenities were great for the kids. It has a huge amount of space and everything is nearby. We really enjoyed our stay. We did run into a few issues though. Visitor parking was quite a walk from the house, and the property wasn’t very clean when we arrived. We found roaches in three of the bedrooms, a dead lizard in the theater room, and the upstairs rooms had a musty smell. There were also a lot of markings and tape residue on the walls throughout.”airbnb

“Beautiful home but no real support once checked in. The house itself was absolutely beautiful, the location was super convenient, and the amenities were definitely fun — no complaints there. But when it came to accommodations for luggage help or senior citizens, the experience was horrible. There was no assistance with transportation to the resort, no help for older guests, and absolutely no accommodations unless you pay extra. It felt like everything was an add‑on for more money, even basic support that should’ve been included. If you’re traveling with seniors or need any type of help beyond the basics, be prepared to spend more than you expected.”airbnb

“Had a few issues with check in. They ended up making it right. Was hard to get response, I had to get air bnb help involved for resolution. Staff was great onsite, Pool area is very nice, only one pool side restaurant so the food choices get old fast. House was nice, it wasn’t dirty but it’s wasn’t clean. The floors & walls are a little beat up, there was packing tape on the stairs to keep the flooring on, baseboards falling off, legs falling coffee tables etc. They charge you everything à la carte, & It’s in poor taste. You pay daily for parking, pay for early check in, pay if you want your pool heated. Zero guest experience feel, you’re a number. It would be better to price accordingly all in. You come here to bring your kids to Disney / universal outside of that I wouldn’t stay here again.”airbnb

“We were so disappointed with this stay. We paid nearly 4k (for 5 nights) and were met with fees for everything. Daily parking fee PER vehicle of $35 (when renting a 5 bedroom villa), fee for using grill or heating the pool at the unit. Only paid areas at the waterpark were shaded (so they monetized shade). Our villa had dirty pots and pans with teflon flaking off into whatever we cooked. They left us zero pool towels at the unit and only 6 bath towels that they stated was “standard”….again we had a five bedroom villa with ten people? Even with all the fees and very strict rules for the property and parking, we still had an issue with other people parking in the singular space provided for our unit…. and the office/number for parking questions or issues were entirely unresponsive and unhelpful. So with our only spot near the unit taken, we had to find “overflow” parking and walk some distance to our villa. We had such high hopes since the location is unbeatable. So sad it went this way.”airbnb

“We enjoyed our stay at Villatel. The pictures and description of our unit was a little deceptive. The kids enjoyed their bunk beds with a slide, but the decor was Snow White, not perfect for 4 boys. The pool was extremely small and did not include a spa. I paid for pool heat because I wanted the spa heated, so that was a waste of money. We planned to save on parking by using the shuttle to Universal Studios, but the return trip took 1 ½ hours. After taking the shuttle once, we drove our 2 cars to the parks instead. And, getting in the front gate the first time can involve a considerable wait. On the plus side, the townhouse was quiet, clean, new, and comfortable. The waterpark at the complex was very enjoyable. The location was convenient. Just be forewarned that the townhouse descriptions are generalized, and you’ll need to ask about the specific unit you will be assigned.”airbnb

“HORRIBLE! This is by far the worst experience I’ve had w/ Airbnb. There was trash & linens at the door upon arrival. The dishwasher & fridge was full of mold. The AC wasn’t working at check-in, was over 80 degrees inside, took 2 maintenance trips to get it fixed. Day 2, woke up at 3:30am to smoke detector going off. Day 3-5, power in master bedroom kept going out randomly. Day 3, smoke detector upstairs goes off & the lock completely fell out of sliding glass door. Day 5, different smoke detector in entry way went off at 4:30am. In 5 days, maintenance came 8 different times & an electrician 3 times for a total of 11 visits in 5 days. Things were still not fixed after all of this. On 5th day, host sent rep from rental company to meet me & electrician. They discussed breaker flipping for master bedroom & losing power over 3 days. Airbnb/host offered 1/2 my money back for this horrible stay and Airbnb offered credit towards my next trip. Why would I book w/Airbnb ever again?! Terrible!!!!”airbnb

“I have already said it all, and there really is not anything else, besides some compensation for all the money with, while dealing with all these issues”airbnb

“Our stay was disappointing and did not feel like a good value for the price. The unit was clean and appeared relatively new, which we appreciated. However, the sliding door would not close or lock properly, which was both inconvenient and concerning from a safety standpoint. Parking was a major frustration. Guests are required to pay an additional fee, yet the assigned parking areas were poorly marked and confusing. We contacted management for clarification, but the issue was never resolved. Instead, the response felt argumentative rather than helpful. The pool area was nice, but the property’s advertising was misleading. The resort promotes a “water park” experience, which was one of the reasons we booked. Unfortunately, about half of the water slides were closed during our stay, significantly reducing the value of this amenity. Overall, while the property has some positives, the maintenance issues, confusing paid parking, poor management response, and limited amenities made it dif”airbnb

“Very bad experience. The room was dirty, there were visible stains on the bed, and the whole room had a strong odor. After staying there, all of us had allergy symptoms. The cleanliness was far below basic standards. I would not stay here again and do not recommend this place.”airbnb
