Upstay's guest rating of 4.70 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Wow! What a tremendous property boasting such incredible potential. We rented the main house and barndominium and upon arrival we were blown away at how incredible this property is. Then we got to looking at the details and there is quite a bit of maintenance needing to happen. Ice machines were not clean and did not work, stove top was natural gas and the igniter wouldn’t stop sparking when cooking, the popcorn machine didn’t work, the grill outside was out of propane, and trash was littered around the trash cans and parts of the property. The TVs were not connected to the WiFi, and paint repairs were obvious. Additionally, early check in was requested a week early. After multiple back and forth we were finally told and hour before our requested check in that if we pay $75 we can check in early due to rushing the cleaners. I didn’t know that means the house wont be cleaned. That’s the main issues but aside from all of that the place is incredible, if it was just maintained properly”airbnb

“This is a lovely home. The pictures doesn’t say enough. Everything was perfect for my family and I. We enjoyed the stay so well that we have deemed this house our Florida home. Any time we visit we will be staying here. The host was very nice and responsive. Thank you.”airbnb

“The carpet upstairs was filthy. The living sofa were too low and uncomfortable for older people . The kitchen faucet was loose. The patio furniture was wore out. The patio walls had black smudge on it. The pool had debris it . The location was good. If these things are fixed the house would be suitable”airbnb

“Please reconsider your stay! We encountered several issues, including at least nine roaches in the kitchen and bathroom downstairs. When we arrived, everything seemed clean initially. However, there was an unpleasant odor coming from the kitchen, and some of the comforters had stains. Additionally, the runner on the dining room table was marked as well. To feel more at ease, we decided to buy cleaning supplies. As we began wiping down the cabinets and dining room table, it became clear just how much dirt had accumulated on them. The pool was in poor condition, with murky water. I contacted the host about the pool, and they initially informed me that maintenance wouldn’t be able to come until after our departure, which was a key factor in choosing this location. Despite the clear state of the pool, the host assured us it was safe to swim. I compared it to the neighboring pool, which was well-maintained and just a right next door. After inquiring if any further action could be taken….”airbnb

“Nice place, only bad thing is they charged me for a broken pool cleaner that we never once used. I didn’t even see a pool cleaner by the pool”airbnb

“We checked in at 5pm, an hour after our check-in time. Upon arrival (room 403, which is what we were assigned to), there were people’s stuff laid all around. We had walked into a room that was supposedly to be vacant. This miscommunication pushed our plans way back, as we were struggling to communicate with the host. This was unacceptable, as we had no idea what to do. We were located later to another room on the same floor, but still. This shouldn’t have happened and it messed up our plans the whole weekend. Upon arriving to the new room, there was hair everywhere. The toilet was clogged and it was dirty. Never staying here again.”airbnb

“We could not even stay here. This place is an absolute nightmare, the door doesn't lock properly, people are banging on the doors making it feel unsafe on the property, the condo reeks of marijuana, lights flicker, and I feel as if I do not need to continue. I brought my family here, and after checking in we were in immediate distraught. Cheapest hotel we could find was $500 for us due to us getting here so late. I thought this would be a fun and nice weekend for my family to go to universal and I was brought onto this monstrosity. Absolutely ridiculous that you guys are allowed to let people stay here. One would think, somewhere in the property reviews it would speak on that. Maybe for someone that has low standards is this place okay, but for anyone that has stayed in a somewhat decent place would feel the same. DO NOT STAY HERE. This is a money scam for horrible lodging.”airbnb

“Photos did not match place, the cleanliness of the unit and outside was not very good. The elevators were broken the whole time we were there and the pool and spa was taped off and not accessible. It did not feel safe the doors to the building itself was always unlocked and parking was a nightmare.”airbnb

“I will never stay at another property hosted by Upstay. BEWARE. Their advertising is deceitful and they removed key details from the listing after we booked. Shady shady shady.”airbnb
