Unsalted Vacations
4.75Visit website
Unsalted Vacations's guest rating of 4.75 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Very clean inside…looks new. Private setting with deer and other wildlife around. Pretty high on a hill. Driveway is steep so some low vehicles may not be able to go up the hill.”airbnb

“What a great location to enjoy the beach! Spent lots of time with the grandkids walking the beach, playing in the water and finding beach “treasures”!”airbnb

“No street number sign visible from street. Had to ask neighboring business about location. Of the 4 TV's there only one worked properly. One hair dryer did not heat up. Could not change water flow in one bathroom from tub to shower. Place was very clean and spacious.”airbnb

“Cute little place. No view of the lake because of trees. You can see the lighthouse from the cabin and it’s a short walk there which was nice. Dunes are close as well as beaches.”airbnb

“cute place to stay with friends, unfortunately the grill did not work. The place was clean, but was turned of by the message half way through hour trip about a possible $500 fee if they determined the place need an extra cleaning once we left, we always keep the places we stay at as clean as possible and treat like our own home. also was a warning that if we were still on the property anytime after our check out that there was another $500 fine. we've always been good at leaving before our check out times. this made use a little disappointed in the place. overall cute and nice place to stay.”airbnb

“This house is beautiful. The view is incredible. We had so much fun in the sand dunes. Five stars across the board. One exception is that unsalted does not provide toilet paper. There is something very frustrating when you’re paying thousands of dollars for a beach rental and they don’t give you enough toilet paper to last the stay. Other than that great experience.”airbnb

“The location of this property is excellent, which is the main reason for the rating. However, beyond that, the experience fell short of expectations. The building and interior feel quite dated, with noticeable creaking throughout, and the space lacked a warm, homey feel. It felt more like a managed, transactional stay than a true Airbnb. Basic amenities were also missing (ex. sponges, paper towels), which made the stay less comfortable. Communication around check-in and especially check-out (10 AM) came across as very rigid and unaccommodating. Additionally, after booking, we were required to sign an external agreement outside of Airbnb, which was a first for me after 11 years on airbnb and felt unusual. There were also many rules sent after confirming the reservation, which felt excessive. Overall, while the location is a strong plus, the experience from start to finish didn’t feel as welcoming or flexible as expected.”airbnb

“Felt like the pictures were better than what we got. The views were spectacular, the beach access was awesome, plenty of towels and we appreciated that. But quite a few problems with the property, especially at this price point. We had a clogged sink that did not get tended to until the next day, the drain was clogged with contents of cleaning up after a diaper change so you can imagine ... The trash bins are a 1/4 mile away and did not have enough room for our bags so trash piled up in the foyer. They provide 1 paper towel roll, and no kitchen sponge, towels, or oven mitt. The basement bathroom did not have a waste basket or any additional toilet paper. Other properties I have stayed at at this price point usually have a few extras - a Bluetooth stereo, condiments, coffee filters, none of that here. We found most of the furniture to be pretty worn out and uncomfortable. The sliding doors are heavy and not stable in their grooves. Beautiful views but would not stay again.”airbnb

“Adorable place, quaint, close to Holland. The space was tighter than we thought (very narrow and steep stairs). Bedroom layout was odd - kids bunk beds in the only upstairs room with a bathroom. Adult room nextdoor has no bathroom so we had to disrupt a toddler in the middle of the night. Quiet community but an occasional car drove directly past the bedroom windows. You’ll be messaging with a property management person, not an owner. Overall it was a cute place and could just use some tweaks to the experience.”airbnb
