“This was one of the worst Airbnb experiences I have ever had. From the start, it was a mess. At check-in, we couldn’t access the property because the front door code didn’t work, leaving us stuck outside with no guidance after a long day of travel. Once inside, things only got worse. The house had bugs throughout the kitchen, bedrooms, and even in the beds. This was not a one-time issue—it was constant and made it extremely uncomfortable to stay there. We contacted the host multiple times, but there was no urgency or real effort to resolve anything, which was very frustrating given the circumstances. The air conditioning was not working for most of the stay. An HVAC technician came on the third day, but the issue was not properly fixed and the home remained uncomfortable. There was also a wasp nest by the pool, making the outdoor area largely unusable. Overall, between the access issues, cleanliness concerns, ongoing AC problems, and lack of support, I would not recommend this property”airbnb

“STAY AWAY FROM SWANKY VACAY!! Worst vacation experience of my life. After confirming our reservation multiple times, we arrived for a two-week stay only to find another family already in the house. Swanky Vacay admitted a “system error” and left our group of 15+ stranded for hours despite full payment. They eventually moved us—but the new house was filthy, with trash everywhere and roach spray on the counters. Communication was terrible. It took 12 hours to send cleaners who barely did anything. Management was rude and dismissive—one manager even yelled, called me a liar, and threatened cancellation. The house was infested with roaches in every room. An exterminator was promised but never came. We had elderly family and no alternative, so we were stuck. Completely unprofessional, unsanitary, and unacceptable. Avoid at all costs.”airbnb

“The family friendly 3 bedroom private pool home was just as described. It was super clean. Everything in the home worked. It was well kept and maintained. Warning though! They instructed us we had to leave the property and they would relocate us to another home without any further explanation. We payed for the 3 bedroom home and they said they were upgrading us to the 8 bedroom home at no extra cost. We didn’t want to but proceeded with the request. The 8 bedroom private pool home had a roach infestation. We turned on the stove to cook and a swarm of roaches came out. And they were all over the first floor, inside the toaster, on top of the cooking utensils, you name it! They had someone come fumigate the next day, but unfortunately it didn’t do much. Also the washing machine did not work. Airbnb support has refunded us the 2 nights we stayed at the roach infested home because the host did not reply.”airbnb

“We weren’t initially supposed to stay at the house we ended up staying at. On our way to Florida we were told our original house was having plumbing issues, and that our location had to change. The house we ended up staying at was clean. We were more than comfortable using the restroom, shower, sleeping, etc. The only two issues were the pool was dirty, and the washing machine was not working. We had a dog, and they were unable to come into the house if the dog was there and we weren’t, so we were never able to get those issues resolved. Aside from that, we had no complaints.”airbnb

“Beautiful home in a gated community, just needs TLC. Pool area felt private, nicely landscaped, clean, faces highway but noise was not a deterrent. Pool cleans on an auto schedule and gets full sun in the AM. Small area for pets to potty. House is very large with ample room sizes. Beds were comfortable, though I cannot speak to the bunks. Bathrooms were very clean, especially the showers. Parking is tight. Our biggest pain point was host responsiveness, needs much improvement. Entrance code not recvd prior to check-in. One of the hot water tanks failed twice, triggering an annoying alarm. We had no hot water in the master bath, kitchen, laundry for two separate days. We were there for baseball, asked that the repair be done in our presence due to traveling with a pet. Contacted AirBNB to assist with resolution and was given a 1 night refund. Carpets terribly stained, fridge is missing shelves/drawers, some patio furniture is torn, missing kitchen necessities, Fruit flies in kitchen.”airbnb

“The pictures look great, in reality 4716 windwood needs lots of maintenance, its tired, every knob in the house is loose, broken or missing, grey sectional is stained, main bath toilet leaks water on the floor, it's not alot just enough to be irritating & lastly I notified the host an hour after we arrived that their pool was not running/filtering the water that there was a layer of pollen & bugs on top & for the 10 days we were there is was "never" fixed, they kept saying they would put in a work order or contact maintenance & every day nothing ! We paid $300 a night for a house with a working pool & never got one...We would not rent from swanky vacay ever again...”airbnb

“I booked the home 4 months in advance and got welcome reminders up to the day before check-in. On the day of check-in, I received a message from Swanky Vacay on the Airbnb app stating that the home I reserved had a massive plumbing leak and was unavailable. This was a lie, as someone else had been living in it for the last five months and had a month left on their stay. Swanky Vacay offered a smaller place that I rejected, then they offered another home that I had to accepted because our eight-person golf group coming from multiple locations around the U.S. needed a place to stay. I immediately noted several things in disrepair and that the pool was filthy. I reported the pool issue to Swanky Vacay and they said they would make it a priority to get in cleaned. Someone came to clean it seven days later. Swanky Vacay was nonresponsive throughout our stay. Airbnb customer service did step up and facilitated a refund for the pool heat fee and a partial refund for the nightly rental fee.”airbnb

“Late morning, when our plane landed, we were informed about a plumbing problem that caused a cancellation. He offered a couple of replacement options that would not work for us. At that time it was too late to find a replacement even though units were showing as available. The property owners had hours to respond to a new request, so I eventually had to give up.”airbnb

“I recently stayed at this Airbnb and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite the host's description of the property as "fresh and clean," I found the accommodations to be quite the opposite. Upon arrival, it was evident that the space had not been properly maintained. There was noticeable filth on the walls, floors, and in every corner of the unit. Additionally, the pillows were stained, which raised concerns about overall hygiene. One particularly frustrating issue was that the drains were severely clogged, causing me to shower in water that accumulated to an uncomfortable depth. While the host did send cleaners to address the situation, it was clear that the cleaning efforts were insufficient. To add to my disappointment, there was no offer of alternative accommodations or any form of refund provided. I would advise potential guests to approach this listing with caution, as the condition of the property did not meet basic cleanliness standards.”airbnb
