Sunny Days Vacation Rentals
4.76Visit website
Sunny Days Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.76 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“While the location is great and the layout in the house is solid. This was a pretty bad experience. The house was dirty: dust all over, food stuck to handles of cabinets, a pretty rough smell. The house needs up keep: The smoke alarm goes off when you take a hot shower, the washer sounds like a jet engine so don't use it at night. The major downside was Sunny Days themselves. While they were responsive... you can tell they are there to milk a property for as much money as possible. The setup feels like a cheap motel (signs everywhere, bad bath stuff, comments about only 1 towel per guest, smelly / ?toxic? cleaning products, etc.) , we had to do extensive cleaning, they did offer to have someone come clean but it was so bad we would have lost access to the house all day. They then told us they would offer a refund (which we took to be a full one)... but after a hassle it was $100. In the end, I wouldn't just avoid this rental... I would avoid anything they manage.”airbnb

“We were in Marble Falls for a family reunion & the airbnb listing was misleading to what the property looked like in person. As we entered the rental, there was a kitchen light hanging from the ceiling by one arm that was attached by electrical tape & plaster was all over the kitchen floor. The owner was quick to respond to our call, however we waited for over 1 hour & 30 min for property manager to fix the light. She acted put out & never apologized for the delay nor cleaned up the mess in the kitchen floor. The property smelled of mildew/pungent odor. The air condition was two wall units that blew cold air directly on you when you sat on the couch or laid in bed, making it extremely uncomfortable. There were yellow stains on the sheets , pillowcases, & towels. We ended up checking out early due to mildew smell & dirty sheets. When I messaged the owner asking for some type of compensation, she said upper mgmt. would email me.They never did. HORRIBLE RENTAL/POOR MGMT/DO NOT RECOMMEND!”airbnb

“Although the location, to downtown Ventura, was great the property did not meet our expectations for cleanliness and requires some serious attention to detail. We were grateful the facility allowed us to bring our beloved dog but because there was a viscious dog already on the property, and a decent size opening in the backyard fencing, we highly recommend you don't bring your dog. Ammenities were scarce. Example: the listing showed a clothes rack, but upon arrival it was taken up with a vacuum, fan, and air mattress, so we couldn't use it. Minimal supplies in the kitchen, but then with all the cobwebs and bugs crawling on those dishes... No light or walkway, leading up to the unit, and cars in the driveway blocking our entrance making it nearly impossible to enter and or exit without safety hazards. If Air B n B doesn't investigate these claims further we will probably never use them again, and recommend you get a hotel before thinking about staying here.”airbnb

“We had an absolute blast! We loved spending the days in the pool, BBQing or playing pool. We had plenty of space for all 6 of us. We had a few items we discussed with management that never really got addressed-ants, pool sweep not working, broken dryer, faulty outlets. We also were told they could do some minor baby proofing/cover outlets for our toddler but that never happened either. They were responsive with communication but I think there are too many different people responding to messages so nothing was solved. These items didn’t ruin our time or ruin the place for us, we still had a great time! These were more of inconveniences for how much we paid.”airbnb

“We stayed here for 5 days in May. Immediately everyone in our party had bites from some kind of insect. On the day of leaving my mom had over 100 bites on her body and was in excruciating pain. It is confirmed that this was caused by bed bugs. I have stayed at countless Airbnb’s and have never had anything so disgusting and terrible happen. When we got home we had to bag up all of our belongings and have them dried and anything that couldn’t be dried has to stay bagged up for over 6 months. My mom will have permanent scaring from the bed bug bites. We immediately told the owner and she apologized. We asked for a complete refund from Sunny Days and they are refusing, saying they have documentation of no bed bugs. I will never be staying with Airbnb again. Please do not stay here. If I could give a zero stars, I would.”airbnb

“We arrived about 30 minutes after check in a man was still inside cleaning. We waited outside while he finished and someone in our group nearly stepped in dog waste in the main grass area. That evening we saw a mouse run from the kitchen into the sitting area and back. Next day multiple guests heard repeated movement in the walls & ceiling. Saturday morning I saw another mouse run from my bedroom into the bathroom & mouse droppings were found. One guest left early due to discomfort. Pest control was mentioned but the issue remained during our stay. At around 4:30 AM on the last morning 4 masked men with headlamps & equipment including a leaf blower were right outside our windows. As a house full of women this was extremely frightening and woke us abruptly creating a real sense of fear and lack of safety. Overall between the delayed check in, cleanliness concerns, ongoing mouse activity, & the early morning disturbance the stay was significantly disrupted and wouldn’t recommend.”airbnb

“We expected better care of the property for the price paid. It is a beautiful house, but the light switches and door frames needed to be washed. Windows downstairs don't close. Blinds broken in large bedroom downstairs. Dirty mattresses in downstairs bedroom. Three of us ended up wheezing. Tub didn't drain well. Threshold to go to balcony from dining room torn up; we had to tape it. Dishes on the shelves were dirty; we had to wash them before using them. Wish the maintenance were better for such a lovely house and location! Property needs to be updated!”airbnb

“We booked this stay for Coachella weekend 2. The amount of space was great, and we appreciated that there was a pool. The neighborhood is also quiet, so it was nice to come back to a calm area after the chaos of the festival. Customer service was responsive when we had questions. These are pretty much the only good things about our stay. We came into a few issues while staying here, the biggest being one of the beds felt like all the springs had collapsed. The rooms still had trash from the previous guests and we had to wash all of the utensils, pots, plates, etc. again because everything had crusty food left on it. The instructions to arm the door were also incorrect so we had to figure it out ourselves. We had seen so many videos prior of people getting their stays cancelled last minute we decided to just deal with the issues. We were offered an apology after the fact, but that was pretty much it. Not even a phone call.”airbnb

“This cute condo was located in a beautiful part of Palm Springs. The management company was responsive to my needs when called upon. Upon arrival the management company was contacted regarding the tidiness of the back porch. It appeared dirty. After 2 hours of cleaning, I was comfortable accepting the condo in its condition. In addition, unbeknownst to all, the thermostat was set on a 55-88 cycle for Non-Occupancy. It was Not Adjusted for my rental start (Contractual Teaching Lesson). During my 80 day stay, the thermostat was adjusted on Day 71. Seeing that I paid an additional cost of Utility Fee, I requested that this fee be prorated for 71 days, since I manually tackled the thermostat (if not once a day, twice a day) in order for my stay to be comfortable. They chose NOT TO REFUND ANY PORTION. (Disappointing to say the least.) There are many winter rentals to choose from with the majority not charging additional fees (Utility Fees). Look around… Hence my review stands as is”airbnb
