Seaside Vacations & Sales

Seaside Vacations & Sales's guest rating of 4.67 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

The stay itself was fine, but the way our situation was handled was extremely disappointing. My mother accidentally left her work iPad inside, and we contacted the office immediately the same office that claims to be available for anything guests may need. Despite the home being empty, no one could arrange a brief, supervised entry for her to retrieve it. We were told to wait for housekeeping the next day at an unknown time and then have it shipped. Because she urgently needed it for work, we had to pay nearly $200 for another night just to use the same door code, walk inside for a few seconds, and collect it. We contacted the office instead of entering without permission out of respect for their security policies, the only immediate solution offered required paying for another full night, ridiculous! I understand that policies exist, but this situation was handled so unreasonably and caused unnecessary stress and expense. Please consider this level of customer service before booking.

The smell in the unit was something we couldn’t get past. We aired out the unit daily and washed the AC filters ourselves hoping it would help with the smell…nothing worked. The carpet is old, very dirty, and holding the smell. We vacuumed upon arrival because it was noticeably dirty. We had to empty the vacuum twice as it was full of dust and debris even though it was supposed to have just been cleaned. The washing machine did not work- contacted management but not much they could do. Known ant problem in both bathrooms and the kitchen. The pics give the illusion the unit is updated and clean but that is not the case. The unit is absolutely not worth the price being charged.

Bradford House *Everyone should say which house they stayed at on their reviews*. The beds are outdated. The bigger room with a queen bed has an old 6" soft foam mattress with a 2" topper. I reached out after terrible back pain explaining that it wasnt a matter of preference for this mattress, but its not suitable for people to use. Elaine was extremely rude an inconsiderate and I know a lot of people have that experience with her. She refused to help and I finally just asked for an air mattress. I'm too old to sleep on an air mattress. The fact is, I paid over $2K for a comfortable place to stay, and I shouldnt have to sleep on an air mattress. The 4" mattress on the sleeper sofa was not comfortable but it was better than the queen in the bigger room. The queen in the smaller room was firm and pretty typical of rentals. I believe that Elaine will try to gaslight me as I see she did to others, so I'll include pictures. Floor is separated, small child hazard. Playground nice, decor nice

Crumbs on the floor. Counters had coffee on them. Host texted multiple times and didn’t use the Airbnb app. Matched photos exactly super nice place, quiet. Not sure if worth the money could possible find better but it’s very close to the beach. They also only have us one trash bag. Small but annoying.

It is very old and outdated. This building is very old, outdated and atheistically not nice to look at. The front door is filthy and super loud and squeaky…needs to be replaced. Walking in it appeared okay but it got worse going into the master bathroom. It is very outdated, almost looks original and it was filthy! There was mold everywhere and it didn’t appear to have been cleaned in awhile. There was men’s hair all around the sink area like someone shaved and the hair was never cleaned up. It was so disgusting that I didn’t use that bathroom very much and opted to shower in the other shower. Very disappointed! I would never stay here again

For a quick weekend getaway with my friends this place was just fine, not great. However if I were to come with my family I would be very disappointed. The place was a bit dirty and dusty, which probably has to do with the checklist they make the guest do when checking out. I understand cleaning up after oneself however the list makes it seem as if they haven’t invested in maids for cleaning after. After all, that’s what the check in and check out hours are what they are, right? The place was also very unmaintained. There was a leak in the ceiling in one of the rooms. The hvac/cleaning supply closet was wide open with no door installed. And the bathrooms needed a makeover which made it looked dirtier then it needed to be. On top of everything else, it was advertised that there was an extra roll away bed. However when we pulled the bed out we found it to be the worst bed we had ever seen in our lives. It was broken, unusable, dirty and looked like it was from 1955.

Stay was just ok. One of the beds had urine on the mattress cover, they did come pull off all of the bed coverings and replace with clean the day after we arrived, however did not put on a new mattress cover/replace the mattress. Bed was unusable even with clean sheets. Place was pretty dirty, it’s expected there is a little bit of dirt, etc but for the price that was paid and what we walked into, it was a bit crazy and a big no for me. Called and was told someone would call me when they were in. Also sent msg through app with photos. There was no offer for someone to come in and clean. I had to go out and buy a basic cleaner the night of arrival to clean counters/table, etc. we had to vacuum and sweep the floors, things very clearly not done prior…after driving 8 hrs to be there. There were toy/food remnants from previous stay. Bathrooms did smell of bleach cleaner. Balcony could use a scrub. It was a really rough start to our stay. It’s highly unlikely that I would book here again.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of this Airbnb. When we arrived, there were old coffee stains on the table, and the kitchen walls had what looked like dried coffee or another liquid dripping down them. The bathroom had a noticeable buildup of dust and grime. In the bedroom, there was debris on the bed that initially looked like a bug, making us question whether the linens had been properly changed. The mattress was also extremely hard and uncomfortable. One hallway closet was crammed with cleaning supplies, making it unusable for guests and giving the space a cluttered feel. The kitchen cabinets contained old, mismatched plastic bowls, cups, and random items, making the rental feel neglected rather than thoughtfully prepared. Overall, the property felt poorly maintained and not as clean or welcoming as expected. A thorough deep cleaning and better organization would greatly improve the guest experience. NOT WORTH THE MOENY!

The place was not cleaned at all and the grass was not cut. My famiky could not even come in and put our things down after traveling 5 hours to get there. There answer was to send cleaning AFTER I had to clean and could not send cleaning until the next day… i was only staying two nights. Then they didnt want us there when they wanted to send them…they were rude as well. I have never had an experience like this. They sent maitence to cut the grass without my permission and they cut grass all around my car and dog. They were disruptive in my vacation and everyone in the house was disgusted at the filthy conditions pf the house and yard.

Avoid this property if you are sensitive to strong pungent mothball/raid/mold smells. The whole house smells bad and we tried to air it out to no avail. Seaside Rentals knows there is a problem as every room outlet has a scent diffuser along with scent jelly packs and hanging lavender bags everywhere. We called seaside manager and got no where- they basically denied it. They were not helpful and offered nothing as a solution other than suck it up or leave. Management was very rude, insensitive and inconsiderate. I would consider your options if renting with them as I had no warning about the strong smell and would not rent with them again. No mention of compensation or anything. I basically drove my family 4 hours to a horrible place to vacation. It made for a horrible trip as my daughter sneezed the entire time in the house. Avoid this place and Seaside Rentals if you can. I only wish I saw a review like this as I would have avoided the trap of $900 for 2 nights of hell.
