“Went for a few days of rest and to relax to celebrate our wedding anniversary. No chairs in the room with a back to sit on. No big patio window to look out of (view was of the stairs leading up to the next level). Bed was VERY soft. I couldn't move on Saturday and by Sunday my husband was in pain as well. On arrival I requested a new room "they didn't have anything else" yet own 150 properties on the island. I guess they think we are blind and couldn't see the empty rooms all around us. When I listed off the things that didn't seem to match the ad, her only response was "chairs didn't come with the room" and a smiley emoji. When an adult is upset and looking for answers, a smiling emoji is not an appropriate response and did nothing to calm matters. I will never stay at a place managed by this group again.”

“We have used this company before with no issues and loved the house we stayed in the last time. This time there was no communication about the problems the Nor'easter was causing until the day of our rental when we had already left to travel 4 hours down to the island. They said there was a different house that was clean and ready to go for us. When we got to the house there were no linens or TP, the floors were disgusting, and multiple appliances were broken. The actual owners of the house did show up pretty quickly to try to fix some of the problems. Essentially we were just very disappointed with the house since it was not the one we wanted and in our opinion, should have costed less than the house we originally booked. Seaside Vacation said they would give us 50% off the first night due to the issues, but then when we called to talk to them, they said it was Airbnb problem to handle. Communication should have been happening before the day of the rental and other solutions given.”

“Extremely disappointed with Seaside Vacations and their complete unwillingness to work with us during the nor’easter and state of emergency. We booked specifically for the concert weekend and paid approximately $700/night because rates were significantly inflated for the event. The concert was canceled due to the storm, a state of emergency was declared, and we were unable to make the trip I understand and respect that we booked a non-refundable reservation. However, there is a difference between enforcing a policy and doing what is reasonable for a customer during extraordinary circumstances We weren’t even asking for a full refund. If this property normally rents for around $300/night and we paid $700 because of the concert, the least Seaside Vacations could have done was refund the event-related markup Instead, there was zero flexibility or willingness to meet us halfway. Very disappointing customer service, and I would think twice before ever booking with Seaside Vacations again.”

“The location was great! The place was pretty well dated and could used better blankets! It was sort of hard to find what we needed for the pill out couch! Kitchen could be better stocked. We had to request a coffee pot and it was missing basic cooking supplies! They had all the pans and dishes just make sure you get everything else, sugar, oil, etc! Overall it was a great place, we were stuck during a nor’easter so I think we noticed more than we would have if we were just there on a normal sunny vacation!”

“This stay was super convenient with its midpoint location on the island. Everything you need surrounds you within walking distance and a quick car or bus ride brings you to the boardwalk. The place itself needs some upgrades and a deep clean, its age reveals itself immediately upon entering compared to the pictures or description. The hosts were very responsive to our feedback and needs.”

“Save your money, the photos and description extremely misleading. We couldn’t even stay one night, we left and went to a Holiday Inn down the road. The place was a shoebox, the bathroom was atrocious, toilet rocks when sitting on it, tub was stained and rusted, mold and mildew spots on walls, no drawers to unpack belongings in, closet unusable had fans and cleaning supplies (that I doubt were rarely used) cluttered the entire space. The bed was nothing more than a 2 person cot. The sofa was dirty and stained, a kitchen very dated and allowed space for 1 person, the balcony sliding door would not open, the write up and description of the unit didn’t even come close to the truth of the condo of horrors that we named it when we left. Air BNB would be wise not to associate their name on this property, I have used ABNB various times, this place was the worse I’ve ever seen.”

“Seaside was great to work with. The rental was old, tattered, uncomfortable (no comfortable seating). It needs a lot of aattention including painting the porches and outside there is rotting wood, refurnishing the entire downstairs and bringing the kitchen up to date. There was very limited silverware and other needs for cooking. Everything seemed very cheap and looked like to was a "make do" approach. I cannot recommend this rental unit.”

“Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of this Airbnb. When we arrived, there were old coffee stains on the table, and the kitchen walls had what looked like dried coffee or another liquid dripping down them. The bathroom had a noticeable buildup of dust and grime. In the bedroom, there was debris on the bed that initially looked like a bug, making us question whether the linens had been properly changed. The mattress was also extremely hard and uncomfortable. One hallway closet was crammed with cleaning supplies, making it unusable for guests and giving the space a cluttered feel. The kitchen cabinets contained old, mismatched plastic bowls, cups, and random items, making the rental feel neglected rather than thoughtfully prepared. Overall, the property felt poorly maintained and not as clean or welcoming as expected. A thorough deep cleaning and better organization would greatly improve the guest experience. NOT WORTH THE MOENY!”

“The place was not cleaned at all and the grass was not cut. My famiky could not even come in and put our things down after traveling 5 hours to get there. There answer was to send cleaning AFTER I had to clean and could not send cleaning until the next day… i was only staying two nights. Then they didnt want us there when they wanted to send them…they were rude as well. I have never had an experience like this. They sent maitence to cut the grass without my permission and they cut grass all around my car and dog. They were disruptive in my vacation and everyone in the house was disgusted at the filthy conditions pf the house and yard.”

“Avoid this property if you are sensitive to strong pungent mothball/raid/mold smells. The whole house smells bad and we tried to air it out to no avail. Seaside Rentals knows there is a problem as every room outlet has a scent diffuser along with scent jelly packs and hanging lavender bags everywhere. We called seaside manager and got no where- they basically denied it. They were not helpful and offered nothing as a solution other than suck it up or leave. Management was very rude, insensitive and inconsiderate. I would consider your options if renting with them as I had no warning about the strong smell and would not rent with them again. No mention of compensation or anything. I basically drove my family 4 hours to a horrible place to vacation. It made for a horrible trip as my daughter sneezed the entire time in the house. Avoid this place and Seaside Rentals if you can. I only wish I saw a review like this as I would have avoided the trap of $900 for 2 nights of hell.”
