Pristine Properties Vacation Rentals

“Overall, a great location- quiet neighbors and very few people on the beach; easily walkable! The space was laid out well and it was easy to find everything that was provided. We also rented some beach gear from VayKayLife- they were extremely responsive and even brought a replacement umbrella within the hour; although, I’ll say the rental was a bit unnecessary, as the house had nearly everything in the laundry shed below- we wouldn’t have rented extra if we had known of the included gear. Outdoor shower was a staple to our trip! The grass was knee-height and wasn’t mowed until 4 days into our trip; WiFi didn’t work and the cable was difficult to navigate with the four remotes; light out in the kitchen; and HUGE native roaches in the house- obviously the house isn’t sealed well. We submitted a help ticket through the Guest Portal (as instructed) regarding internet and roaches, but never got a response. Money Beach was great w our dog, but we’ll stay somewhere else next time.”

“The location was amazing but the property was dirty and needs maintenance. Trash was left outside, there was dirt on the floor ( paper, candies etc). We have a toddler and had to clean since he puts things into his mouth.”

“Wonderful property but poorly managed. Minor inconvenience, the useable covered door you park at is not the door you enter. You use the uncovered side stairs, and it was raining when we arrived. Message responses were mostly next day, but I do message late. Major issue is the house is in central time but operated by a company in eastern time. They do not take time change into account. So check out is at 9am not 10am and office closes at 4:30pm not 5:30pm. As we were readying to check out about 8:50 am CT the cleaner opened the door without knocking and said "are yall about done". then sat in the private driveway waiting for us to leave until I called the office. The woman who answered was more concerned if the cleaner barged in after check out and argumentative about the checkout time being 9am not 10am, interrupting and cutting me off. The way she spoke to me it seemed like checkout is a known issue not being corrected. Unfortunately management hurt the quality of this beautiful home.”

“The home could use some serious cosmetic interior updates, to match the rental price being asked of it. It was larger than expected, but also much more dated, worn and cluttered than expected. We've rented all over and never seen so much owners "stuff" in any property before. We didnt feel comfortable storing our things with thiers, so we had to live out of our cases. The kitchen was very well equipped, but again too much owners stuff. So we had no cabinet or shelving space to store our food etc. Housekeeping had to return to clean the fridge, wet pet urine in carpet and remove used linens from the previous guest. She was unable to to find the strong smell source, but did spray some lysol in in air. We asked for maintenance, but they never came, re hygine and safety issues. We could suggest this property to others and possibly return ourselves if the above items were truly resolved. Oh and if we we're better prepared for that hot, long, narrow, football field walk to beach.”

“We enjoyed the screened in porch, the swings, and the close walk to the beach. However there was some issues. We asked 5 months prior to our vacation for earlier check in due to how far we would have to drive with our infant and we got told to ask again closer to our date, so we asked again the week before our date to still be told no. On our check in date by the time we arrived the cleaning lady was still there which delayed the normal 4pm check in time as well. We finally got to inside and within 10 minutes of us being in there my infant unfortunately found a small pill under the couch that she tried to eat. The beds weren’t comfortable, not recommended for elders or people with back/hip issues would be best for smaller adults/children/teens. There was also a few roaches, and a lot of the dishes still had leftover food stuck to them as well. Completely on us, but we chose not to message about these issues so we weren’t disturbed. We chose to just let it be and enjoy our vacation.”

“The home was really nice with a great location and if the problems hadn’t happened would have been well worth the money. AC and door to patio were not working upon arrival (code also wouldn’t work so we had to call and get it reset) The AC was repaired that day but door was never addressed so we couldn’t access the beautiful deck via living room. AC went down the next day and home was 80 degrees. I immediately reported it via their portal but it was not addressed until I called the next day. They came and repaired air again. We then had issues with roaches and they sent a bug guy without even notifying us he was coming. So my 3 daughters and wife were startled when he just walked around the back of the house and there he was. I requested to speak to a representative from Pristine Properties multiple times and have yet to hear from them. So we had messed up air 3 of 5 days, a door that we couldn’t use the entire stay, and roaches. Nice home but not a great experience.”

“I want to start out by saying that the property itself is adorable . Immediately you can tell that work has been done on the home and it is nice ! However , our stay was not as nice as it could have been . We had to reach out to management multiple times . The first time was to inquire about how to use the shower faucet . We were convinced that something was wrong with the faucet itself . After multiple phone calls, Pristine finally had someone to call that knew now to use the faucet . So if you're reading this and want to shower , pull down the bottom of the faucet where the water comes out . 2nd , multiple light bulbs were out in the kitchen . After reaching out once again , 12 hours later the bulbs were changed while we were out of the house . Only to return to flashing bulbs blinking on and off . So there's that . 3rd , on the second day of our 4 day trip we reported a fire ant issue . Nothing , not a damn thing was done about it . Management said they would take care , but didn't”

“We knew it was basic, but its really basic. We had to call because the code was sent to us wrong. Flies all in the home the whole time. The ceiling fan didnt work. The beach. Well, that private dock is the houses next door and cant be walked out on. The home we rented was the only home that didnt have a boardwalk to the beach, like an access wood bridge, and there were ant hills all thru the trail. The beach was dirty, its private so they dont clean or sift the sand. We ended up having to pack up our beach things and drive to Mexico Beach and park to access the beach. The beach at the home we stayed at, nasty and not able to get out to the beach due to ants and debris. I would never stay at this rental again, yes, it was beachfront, but you cant use it. The stairs were also a killer to go up and down. I dont mean to be picky and I am not really, the cost of the rental was low, but overall having to pack up and go to a different beach was not fun. We will find a new place next year.”

“This house is disgusting has roach bugs! Don’t stay here they won’t compensate you for anything!”

“Renter beware! The location is on the beach, and although there was some overgrowth of bushes in front, it still had a partial view of the beach and was very peaceful. There was a new couch and chair that were comfortable and very spacious in the living space. The screened-in porch is ideal for sitting, reading, etc. One of the fans didn't work, and it would be better with a piece of furniture where you could nap, but still nice. Only one chair on the outside porch, and lots of boards need to be repaired. Both queen beds squeak with every turn, but both of those rooms have their own bathroom and are open to the screened-in porch, which is very nice! The room with the two single beds also has a bathroom attached. Working with Pristine Properties was a horrible experience! The elevator didn't work, and no one ever showed up to fix it after we were given a date. No compensation was given after being told they would. Other "workers" were sent to the house without advance notification.”
