“This space worked perfect for our family. It felt private, yet easy to access both town and the sports center where we needed to be for a seveal day event. The property was tucked away so we didnt feel exposed and our dogs could stretch their legs a bit when needed, without worrying about bothering neighbors. There is a nice view right from the kitchen which opens up to a fantastic deck if you have leisure time in your plans. Additionally the kitchen had excellent counter space to prep meals, spread out supplies, and sit together. The amenities are accurate, so we knew to bring our own coffee, paper towels, and any other essentials, however the host was wonderful about answering my questions so we knew what we needed. I am hoping to stay here anytime our plans require us to return to this area.”airbnb

“Place was clean and decently nice but didn’t have much else going for it. The 4 plex the unit is in smells terrible. Listing says it has a laundry machine but we had to go get quarters because it’s a paid laundry in the basement. I felt like people were going to steal our clothes it’s in a sketchy area of Anchorage. Worst of all the people in the next unit were screaming at each other every night at 3am and I couldn’t sleep. But it was on the cheaper end of airbnbs so that’s just what you get I guess.”airbnb

“Every time air conditioner came on (the first night) it would wake us up. Having someone’s personal property in the room kinda made it uncomfortable…like I was invading someone’s personal space.”airbnb

“Know before you go: this listing is for the entire place "that you rent." It is the upstairs of a split level with the downstairs and garage off limits. During our stay, the male owner arrived unannounced while my wife was home alone. When she called me in a panic to see if the owners had mentioned stopping in, I reached out to them abd asked if it was them. All they said was "no one will enter her area. We are getting supplies. She shouldn't worry." No apologies for her distress. No taking responsibility for the not-so-clear way the posting states what is offered. This includes the 3rd bedroom being a veranda with a space heater and lots of windows so only kind of usable in the winter. There was also a truck and full size RV parked in the driveway. If you are looking for a smaller, nicely located apartment for a short trip, this could do. Just be aware you are getting a shared space with the owners things in the garage and no guarantee they will let you know before they drop in.”airbnb

“We booked this property because it was advertised as a three‑bedroom home, which was essential for our family with an infant and a toddler. One of the bedrooms had no heat and was extremely cold, with frozen condensation on the inside of the windows, making it completely unsuitable for children during an Alaskan winter. We arrived around 3 a.m., discovered the issue immediately, and had to find another place to stay. We messaged the host first thing in the morning, but it still took over 12 hours to receive a reply. Despite the room being unusable and our stay lasting less than five minutes, the host refused to cancel or refund the night. The host later accused us of stealing a towel, which was unfounded and absurd given that we were barely in the home. This may be a more appropriate accommodation for guests without young children or for summer stays when heating isn’t as critical.”airbnb
