I've never given a bad review for any place I've stayed. But we were disappointed. The location is beautiful: huge trees, country feel, peaceful. Check-in was a pain because the door code didn't work. We had to have a different code. We didn't see cameras anywhere, so I assume this is how they know you check in. "Hospitality" is in their name, but it is severely lacking. If you were to stay one night, it's fine. However, we were co-workers in town for 4 days. We were given one towel for each of the 3 bathrooms. I didn't have a washcloth, hand towel, or bath mat. The microwave was dirty, and the oven had mounds of burnt food. The fridge had tons of ice buildup that we had to fix and clean up. There was a light bulb missing above the sink. The beds do not have box springs. I had to sleep in the middle of the bed so I wouldn't roll out. And several other small things that affect an extended stay. More attention to detail would have made this a 5-star experience.

We inquired about early check-in and were O.K. with the extra cost to check into the property early. We were told we would be able to check in as soon as the property was cleaned. We were on the property waiting to check in for a couple of hours and did not see any cleaning being done on the unit. I inquired again about early check in and was told they were still cleaning the unit which wasn't true. We finally got the door access code at 4:10pm.

I experienced several issues during my stay at this Airbnb. Upon arrival, the front door was left wide open, which made us uneasy. The cleanliness was lacking, with black hair and food crumbs in the bathrooms and drawers, plus dirty silverware. Additionally, trash was found under beds, and the carpets were dirty. The keypad entry system was problematic; it often malfunctioned, and our access code stopped working during our late check-out—which we paid for—adding stress. Other inconveniences included a lack of bath mats and insufficient towels, along with a pull-out bed that offered little privacy. No dish soap or ice trays along with tv remotes not labeled were all swapped around. The back porch, described as ideal for sipping coffee, was uninviting and hadn't been cleaned in months. Overall, our stay did not meet expectations, and we hope these concerns can be addressed for future guests.

The property itself is nice, but it seems poorly managed. When we arrived, one bedroom had no AC. Although the host sent a technician the next day, the issue wasn’t resolved until the entire unit was replaced, disrupting several hours of our vacation. One shower barely drained, leaving us standing in ankle-deep water. Most ceiling fan remotes had dead or missing batteries, and despite being told someone would bring replacements, no one ever came. The ping pong net was broken and unusable, and the solution was to order one knowing it wouldn’t arrive before we checked out. We ended up buying the batteries and a new net ourselves, which we were reimbursed for, along with an extra $10 as an apology. We expected a property that had been properly inspected and maintained before our arrival. There is potential, but the lack of upkeep and repeated issues made our stay disappointing. It’s hard to understand how these issues went unnoticed before we checked in.

At 6pm, after check in, I contacted management because my family did not feel safe and requested a refund for the second night. We had to stay one night only because it was too late to change our flights over the July 4 weekend. My concerns were dismissed with a response citing the cancellation policy, and despite being told management would contact me, management never did. On a walk at 4:30pm, we saw people openly using drugs on the corner by the property who tried to interact with my family. Later, we saw a neighbor burning furniture in a large outdoor fire, and when we left a day early, people were sleeping in the alley near the property's driveway. The home itself was clean and nicely decorated, but our experience was extremely disappointing. I recommend researching the neighborhood, including publicly available crime and offender reports, before booking any vacation rental. Airbnb tried to help me but Newman Hospitality denied all requests for even a partial refund. 4th ruined.

The stay was good other than some complications the first day. Other than that, the place was beautiful!

I love the neighborhood It was very quiet and peaceful. The furniture needs to be replaced as it's not comfortable to sit on. The main floor bedrooms need dressers and hooks on the back of the bathroom doors. Also the propane tank was empty so we couldn't use it. However I would rent there again.

The house is ok, but needs a lot of maintenance on the backyard. Also they have to step up with the cleaning service. Everything else was ok.
