Manager Review

Natural Retreats

Natural Retreats's guest rating of 4.79 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Beautiful location, very quiet and clean. The biggest issue is that three of the beds - in the bunkbed room are for children. This home sleeps only 6 adults if willing to share (one room has a full-size bed) and less if not willing to share a bed. The house instructions are sparse, and directions to the beach on the lake terrible. The kitchen had a confusing setup and was missing items like tin foil and plastic wrap. The property management company is often slow to respond, and completely inflexible about early check-ins. The outdoor area had several dead plans in planters and wasn't as well maintained as the house. The house interior is lovely, very clean, and extremely comfortable beds with nice linens (other than the bunk room) and many spots for lounging. Very peaceful and relaxing surroundings. Excellent place if the bunks are occupied by children, and you have only 5-6 adults.

It’s one thing not to have air conditioning but when there’s wildfire smoke at dangerous levels and it’s recommended to keep windows closed, it makes for a very uncomfortable vacation. When I asked about this situation, I was told the wildfire smoke is a very common occurrence and outside their control. Ok, I get it. You’re right. Do you think you may want to mention this if it’s a common occurrence? No air conditioning. ******Wildfire smoke is common in summer months and regularly reaches unhealthy levels. When this happens we recommend closing the windows. This results in the inside temperatures reaching the 90s.*******

Nice place to stay; some appliances didn’t function as they should have. Communication could have been better.

There was no central AC, and check in was quite frustrating as they did not give the correct codes. Other than those two things everything else was great.

This home is absolutely beautiful, it was exactly as described, and the layout is great for multiple couples. We rent a home on flathead lake almost every year, and while the home itself is clean and wonderful, it did feel light amenities compared to other homes we’ve rented in the past. I was surprised they did not provide any type of outdoor gear (eg paddle boards, kayaks, life jackets, etc.). Since we were traveling with a toddler, it was also a hassle to have to rent a high chair and pack and play separately (most Airbnbs we’ve stayed in have those available). The kitchen was sparsely appointed, we had to buy things like paper towels and dish soap and there wasn’t quite enough cutlery to get through the day. For our group (3 couples in their 40’s and a toddler), it wasn’t quite the right fit but it would be a beautiful location for a girl’s weekend or family trip w/older kids!

The location itself is good and the home is very clean. Dont expect a stocked cabinet of spices etc. You will need to purchase your own if you plan on cooking etc. The home itself is not in a location where you have views and we kept all the blinds lowered for privacy. I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility regarding a one-hour late checkout request. While I understand policies are important, small gestures like this often leave a lasting impression and can make a big difference for guests.

Awesome property and in a great location about a 15 minute walk from most restaurants and shops. The parking garage with a spot reserved for us was nice as well. The host’s response times are slow as it’s managed by a company and not an individual. We had an issue accessing the property which made the communication issue stand out, but the hope would be you don’t have any issues that require contacting the host. All instructions provided were very detailed and clear. Overall a good experience and I would stay here again.

Natural retreats should have told us that a major construction project was 20 feet from our front door.. Upon discovery of the 10 hour a day hammering and trucks backing up at 7:45 each morning they lowered our fee by 20% which was in reality only 15%. I never got a breakdown or a reasonable explanation. The condo , however, was very very nice. Just be aware of the horrible noise and disruption of any peach and quiet.

The house is beautiful. The hosting service experience was very, very, sub-par. I'm an Airbnb superhost myself, with a 4.96 rating on my property from 100 reviews. I know what great hosting looks like. If I were the owner, I would fire this hosting service immediately and find someone who can actually provide a guest experience deserving of this property. They shared the wrong lockbox code at check-in. Dirty, unusable pan in dishwasher (Had to ask for a replacement). Dishwasher and trash was full on arrival. No paper towels. No laundry detergent. Host removed a table from upper deck during our stay (two strangers arrived unannounced on back deck, took the table, and left). Community instructions were from 2025. Host kept trying to message me outside of Airbnb app. Host promised to fix issues; fixed a few but most were not. I asked for a 30% refund. They refunded 2.8%. If you lower your expectations enough about the actual experience, you'll enjoy the house itself.

Within the first 15 min we were extremely disappointed with the accommodations. It was painfully obvious that the photos online did not accurately represent the actual conditions. The appliances were not fully functioning, they were extremely dirty, the kitchen sink had cracks and holes in it, there were cob webs hanging from the ceiling lighting, hair in the drain and dirty tile shower floors. The online photos showed new looking dining rm chairs but what is there were dirty chair covers and underneath very used and cracked leather seat cushions. We contacted mgmt, explained that we needed the refrigerator internal controls to work (they were not) and their solution was to bring a meat thermometer over as a means to try to read the temperature. A meat therm is not going to be accurate and does not help in adjusting the temp for medications. Because it was already evening we stayed 1 night and stated we would leave in the am. We were refunded but had to pay $755 for the 1 night.
