Manager Review

Magnolia Vacation Rentals

Magnolia Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.76 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

The listing was nice, the issue that I had was that we were not informed that we would be in a unit with construction workers on scaffolding on its outside walls.Every morning fri, sat, sun, mon, banging noises woke us up. People working on the units balcony, no privacy.

The property was not available at the time expected and the house was not up to par. The house needs maintenance and attention and to be cleaned way more thoroughly before taking in guest. This home has broken window shades making privacy impossible. Two faucets were broken and leaking the whole week. Their is black mold all over the ceilings and large thick spider webs all over the windows. The remotes were all missing batteries and the ONLY tv in the upstairs room was not working nor addressed the entire weekend. The pool was just still water, no pumps, filters, nothing. It was disgusying and completely unsanitary for thr children. 10 kids were promised a pool filled weekend after being in NYC all year this was the biggest bummer. The house still had clothes tags and hairs from the previous guest. And on top of being extremely dirty there were no basic cleaning supplies such as a broom or vacuum. The host also accused me of trying to enter the property early.

"Updated Cabin with Screened Hot Tub" was the title description. We had two issues, self resolved: 1) Cabin: We had to track down our access code when Instructions received said we would have them by 11:15am day of arrival. 2) Hot Tub: Would not heat over 90-degrees. On final night, we reached out, and found out we were in maintenance (or similar) mode. Instructions were given, but after I commented that it would have been nice to have a working hot tub from the beginning, I was informed it was my fault because I had not responded to messages that came within the Airbnb app and that's the only way the host could communicate unless I granted them permission otherwise. Was never informed of this when I searched, booked, and paid via the web site, no app involved and we called them via phone for code, so app not required. Our family attempted to use the hot tub for 3 night and could not get it to heat. But my fault because I didn't respond to app messages that I didn't know about.

It was nice area. The cleanliness of the place and broken patio furniture as a disappointment. Be sure to have all you need with you. Overall, my family had a good time.

The condo was really nice and clean. I would have liked to know that no soaps or coffee would not be provided. Also the outdoor pool was green and nasty. The hot tub was full of bugs. The indoor was nice as well as the floating pool.

My husband and I came here for our pre-honeymoon just for a quick getaway trip. It was a great cabin. We loved everything about it. The only issues we had were it was very dusty or had a lot of cob webs or spider webs through out the whole cabin. There was a cob web or spider web inside the glass part of the oven, and bugs in the ceiling light in the kitchen that we thought they could've cleaned out before we had arrived. Owner verbalized that the place was closed for couple days but within a couple days we don't think it would be that dusty or have that many cob webs/spider webs. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves.

We found the unit to be fairly clean, the house is in need of some TLC first night on arrival want to sit on the couch in the living room and one of the legs broke off someone had truly rigged the whole temporarily, everyone agreed at the house was worth what we paid.

After the experience at this place I will never return. There was a syringe next to the hot tub when we walked in there… how can you rent out a place for $300 a night but not have a cleaning company come after someone stays to clean the needles out of your air bnb?

Renter beware. When we arrived, we immediately noticed missing start up items, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. I attempted to message the host only to find we were given the wrong wifi password. My son uncovered the pool table to play within 1/2 hour of arrival and the sideboard fell off the table itself and injured his foot. It swelled and he had to sit and ice it the remainder of the night. We then started documenting issues with the house. Broken pool table, broken dart board, pool cues broken and without tips, stained bedding, trash within the folds of the bedding, mold in both bathrooms, including on every jet of the jetted tub, broken tile in kitchen, felt on pool table torn and ripped away from the edges, rusted out floor vents, leather furniture so worn that the surface of it was peeling off, curtain fixtures but no curtains, holes in entry door and deck boards rotting out around the hot tub. This place was disgusting! I have photos of every issue.
