“Nice place but kitchen and dishes were not very clean”

“Great place, clean and roomy. Only issue is that the house has no basics like oil, salt, pepper, sugar.. that kind of stuff. Great place tho!”

“I never leave Negative reviews but this has to be addressed… I booked this cabin for my birthday weekend with my cousins… we arrived to the cabin it had a bad smell….there was trash all in the driveway…yes they did send someone out to address the trash shortly after we did realize our cabin did not have any hot water we tried contacting through Airbnb the first night to address the problem we already told them we weren’t comfortable with that and tried to work something out they didn’t send anyone out that night to fix the issue and told us they can’t relocate us and if they did we had to pay for the new cabin and no refund on the one we had. We wasted the whole next day waiting on maintenance to fix the hot water so we can do our activities after multiple back and forth conversations they waiting until 4pm to put us in a new cabin it messed up our whole trip didnt make it to our activities…no credit, refund or extended stay was offered after saying how upset we were either.”

“Overall stay was okay! Location was nice right by the lake but other than that the cabin could definitely use some upgrades. Unfortunately I don’t think it was worth it for the price.”

“Fawnskin is so peaceful and quiet. If you are looking for a very naturesque area that is quieted from the hustle of the main drive into Big Bear Lake, this area is absolutely perfect. There are many birds that serve as your natural alarm clock each morning. The cabin is very rustic with dirt parking in front of the home and with a vintage feeling from the shag carpets, the furniture to the classic China plates, teacups and saucers. The stove is an old vintage gas stove that you have to light. There is something very humbling about being in a home that reminds you of how fortunate we are to have the modern-day amenities in our lives.”

“The house seemed to be empty for a while before us. Not as clean as it could have been and very cluttered. There's too much "stuff" in the house in the way of chairs, tables, wall pictures, statues, empty wine bottles and knick-knacks. We didn't understand why there was so much stuff. House was very dusty and knobs on kitchen cabinets were sticky. Carpet had visible stains and the place just looked worn on the inside. There were no coffee filters for the coffee maker, so we had to buy them, something that should be a basic amenity. No salt and pepper either. The weeds in the backyard were overgrown and surrounding the barbecue. The hot tub was very nice, but had to step over weeds to get into it. Plenty of towels in the bathrooms but the tub in the bathroom downstairs needs to be resurfaced. It's stained and didn't look inviting at all. The place could use a good renovation. One good thing is that it didn't leak when it rained on Sunday and it was peaceful having coffee on the porch.”

“The place was wonderful, great location everything was close...They waited until 4pm exactly to let us check in even though the cabin was clean ..Check out time of 10am is a bit early to get everything cleaned up and looking great which is the way we left it.”

“We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The cabin had plenty to do if we wanted to stay inside. Also, the cabin was clean well maintained. The cabin was ready to enter at the advertise time though, we did have to wait to receive the code for the lock box. It was not automatically sent us with the address. The main/master room had a beautiful bathroom with a nice big shower with massaging shower heads. It also had a jacuzzi bathtub that we would have liked to enjoy however, there were not window coverings in the bathroom. While the view was extraordinary, we're not able to enjoy the view from the bathtub due to the lack of window coverings. The surrounding neighbors had full view in to the bathroom.”

“Place was really nice neighborhood was cute and walkable to axe throwing and a nice diner. My only eh was I feel the pet fee was a bit much.. It was listed in the description, but was not included in the price I paid through Air BNB when I did put that I would be bringing my dog. The description was listed as $35 per night per dog +tax and I was charged $40 a night... I stayed 3 nights. They told me after they accepted my booking and I paid with Air BNB that I only paid the pet fee for 1 night and that I needed to pay the additional $80 through their website. Even though this bothered me it wasnt a big deal.. but be aware when booking this may happen to you.”

“I had high hopes for this stay, but unfortunately my experience did not meet expectations. Communication from the host was not proactive, which made it difficult to address concerns during the stay. Upon arrival, the house had a noticeable foul odor and did not appear to be properly cleaned. Several items throughout the home were broken, and key amenities—such as the WiFi—were not functioning at all. Additionally, the property did not match the listing photos, which was disappointing. There were also rat traps present, which made the environment feel uncomfortable. The game room was advertised as a feature, but none of the games were working. Additionally, the stair rail on the second floor was broken, with loose railing poles, which is extremely unsafe—especially for families with children. This property is not child-friendly at all.Overall, this stay did not reflect what was advertised, and I hope improvements are made for future guests.”
