“If you are a Jackie and Shadow lover then this is the place for you! Watch the nest right from the back patio! Great view! Walk to Dana point for more viewing access to Shadow and now Kaydee! Take a boat ride! Ride bikes! Close to Freedom Park Where the Jackie Memorial is! Close to Big bear village-10 minute drive. Perfect! A mile from Grout Bay picnic area where you can see shadow fly by! You can see coyote! And the most beautiful birds! ❤️. Highly recommend!”

“Fawnskin is so peaceful and quiet. If you are looking for a very naturesque area that is quieted from the hustle of the main drive into Big Bear Lake, this area is absolutely perfect. There are many birds that serve as your natural alarm clock each morning. The cabin is very rustic with dirt parking in front of the home and with a vintage feeling from the shag carpets, the furniture to the classic China plates, teacups and saucers. The stove is an old vintage gas stove that you have to light. There is something very humbling about being in a home that reminds you of how fortunate we are to have the modern-day amenities in our lives.”

“While there were some issues, overall this was a nice place in a nice quiet location. The inside was clean but missing a few amenities (hair dryer, paper towels, fire wood). The outside require a little cleaning. A broom would have been nice or a dust pan. No ice tray was available, nor a large frying pan but everything else was adequate. We would stay here again and bring family. Overall it was a very good deal.”

“This home is spotless, clean and in a peaceful area. We slept so well on the comfortable bed and enjoyed hanging out on the patio. The house is up the street from a gorgeous Thai Buddhist temple, which contributed to a peaceful and quiet stay. I recommend this area if you are looking for a relaxing stay with easy access to the lake!”
