“The house was nice and in a great location if you want to be close to town. One of the upstairs bedrooms didn’t have AC, which made it a bit uncomfortable, though the house did provide two fans for that room. One thing that negatively impacted my experience was an issue before check-in. I booked using the wrong credit card and immediately contacted Airbnb to correct it, they told me to contact the host, but when I reached out to ask if the reservation could be canceled and immediately rebooked with the right payment method, the host said that because it was a non-refundable reservation, canceling would result in being charged for the entire stay, and then suggested I contact Airbnb, which I already did. While I understand the policy, I found the communication frustrating and ultimately had to spend a lot of time resolving the issue on my own with my bank. The stay itself was really nice, but the lack of flexibility and helpfulness regarding this situation left a sour impression.”

“We were a group of 6 Woodstock alumni from out of town coming in to celebrate a 40th reunion. We all loved the charm of the old farmhouse and enjoyed going for morning walks on the dirt road, coffee on the front porch and hanging in the kitchen/family room. It was also fun watching the family of ducks and listening to the frogs in the peat moss bog in the back yard. It was very warm our 1st 2 nights but we had a local friend drop off fans which helped. It is listed as no a/c so if you’re visiting in the summer fans are a must on hot nights. One of our friends is an excellent cook and enjoyed the well appointed kitchen and preparing amazing meals for us.”
