Vacasa in Vermont

Vacasa's guest rating in Vermont of 4.70 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract. This is a nice house in Quechee VT, very spacious for a big family gathering. I think it’s important to note that they do not have Air conditioning - which in the summer is a real problem. It may not have been listed as an amenity - so perhaps my fault but it never occurred to me that a big vacation house wouldn’t have at least fans. Plus the heat had been left on (which the property manager seemed to be aware of). We were hosting a graduation dinner and people were sweating. The property manager agreed to bring us fans that evening but they did not come until the next afternoon which frankly was too late. They did credit us one night fee but we would have preferred if they had delivered the fans in time as the dinner and sleeping at night was very uncomfortable.

I was in town for business and really enjoyed my stay. It was a peaceful setting to return home to after long days at work. Very cozy and comfortable.

This place is in need of some attention and maintenance. One of the biggest concerns is the front door and the sliding porch door. Both struggle to shut and lock properly. Most of the interior doors are also not latching and locking properly. Furniture is also falling apart. The couch and chairs in the living room are well-worn and have very little padding and support. The dining room chairs are wobbly, the backs are wiggly, and the table does not feel sturdy. The extra blankets in the closets are threadbare and falling apart. On a positive note, the scenery outside is very nice with a river and a covered bridge; it is very peaceful. The kitchen is also very well stocked with everything you could need.

A truly unique and exceptional cabin. The architecture and the huge windows overlooking the beautiful scenery make the place feel very special. The property is extremely spacious, with plenty of areas for different activities - indoors, the wraparound porch, the pond, open grassy areas, and the hot tub all created a wonderful setting. The only things that could be improved are having more kitchenware, glasses, and cooking utensils available, as well as paying a bit more attention to cleanliness beyond the bedrooms and bathrooms. Other than that, this place has so much authentic American charm and is perfect for a fun and bonding family getaway. The surrounding area is also lovely, with many hiking trails and picturesque small towns nearby.
