North End Nook in North Hero, VT provided a peaceful, relaxing, much-needed getaway for my husband and me. The hosts provided the clearest instructions I may have ever seen, so it was easy to access the unit and use provided appliances and amenities. They were responsive, kind, and helpful throughout. The unit had everything we could possibly need and some things we didn't even know we needed. It was spotless and cozy at the same time. We felt right at home! The guest beach is across a private road, and there was everything you could need to relax at the side of the lake. We also enjoyed watching the birds from the back deck while eating meals.

We absolutely loved the cabin. The care and love that is put into the "camp" made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The sun room area was perfect for reading a book and enjoying the view and we used the front for cards and games in the evenings. The outdoor space was perfect. The dock was wonderful for swimming and laying out on. The kayaks and paddle boards were a plus and very appreciated. While you are on a "fast road", you don't notice it too much in the back or in the house in the evenings. We loved how dog friendly the house was for our furry travel companion. The only downsides which shouldn't be a deal breaker, just things to consider: Laundry: the closest laundromat is about 20 minutes away. Bluegreen Algae: We visited late July. The water was BEAUTIFUL and clear. The last two days of our stay, there was a significant bloom in the cove. Just be aware if you visit in the late summer. We loved the cabin and will absolutely stay again if we visit the area!

This house was charming - clean, simple and comfy- and the lake was great. I would stay here again. We had a great time. For future renters, I'd suggest checking the status of the dock with the host prior to booking. The listing said the dock is available seasonally and showed many pictures of it. We assumed that it would be in the water for a mid-July stay, but it was not. We did contact the host about it and they were very responsive and kind, but there was nothing to be done about it at that point. Please also note that you need to provide your own propane for the gas grill and your own firewood for the firepit.

Peaceful lakefront heaven like cabin with a breathtaking view ~ great place for a family getaway. Ought to plan your food resources well and not any kind of modern life with hairdryer nor laundry cleaning and drying
