“I am sharing my experience for others here. Overall, the place is worth the price but there are areas of improvement. Our bathroom door was locked when we checked in. We were in a rush due to being invited somewhere the same afternoon. When asking the host about it, they called a locksmith and tried to help but at the same time their response to this matter was “ we last have evidence that bathroom door was unlocked and you have managed to lock yourself out of it”. I was expecting more of “apologies for the inconvenience” which I never heard from them. Having a functional bathroom is essential. We were coming from a long trip and had to get ready within few hours. The neighborhood is quite noisy. Specially one of the bedrooms. So if you’re a light sleeper, forget about this place. The entrance to the unit is quite messy with a bunch of broken/dirty household materials on the way, broken TV as you walk in, upstairs is quite messy with bunch of junk. But the actual unit is clean.”

“This listing is a scam and a health hazard that should be removed from Airbnb. After driving from DC to Philly, paying extra for early check-in, and paying an upfront damage deposit (comical), we walked into a biohazard. The place looks nothing like the photos and is more disgusting than a rundown hostel. The closets were caked in extensive black mold that triggered an immediate health incident for our group. Every corner reeks of neglect: light switches are broken, drywall and ceilings are cracking, the skylight shade is shredded, filthy, and stained, and rusted metal racks were left on the floor. This host’s dishonesty ruined our trip, needing 3 rooms, last-minute hotel prices were astronomical, leaving us no choice but to forfeit our stay and drive all the way back to DC the same day. While Airbnb forced a full refund, no money compensates for the rage, health risk, and wasted journey. Do not book this dump.”

“Location was perfect. The space is above a sushi retuarant and shares a main door with the establishment. A very easy walk to most Revolutionary sites and walkable to most others if you're fit. Also close to the subway station. Didn't use the oven, microwave, or stove but all looked like they were in decent condition and worked. Absolutely hated the check-in process that required sending a third-party images of my Driver's License and a selfie.”

“Place is above a Japanese and a Thai Restaurant - cooking smells throughout the apartment - can only be reached by climbing 2 flights of steep stairs. Shower has no pressure and hardly any water. The whole place is in a state of disrepair with holes in some of the walls. You need to sit on the toilet sideways on a broken toilet seat as there is no legroom. The oven was filthy. Curtains are wafer thin and let in lots of light. Sleeps eight!! I doubt that would be comfortable and this number is misleading as the place is not that big. This is the worse Airbnb that we have stayed at. Avoid at all costs - speaking of which for the money - you would be better off staying in a comfortable, clean and error free Hotel room.”
